I departed from California's Central Valley early in 2007 with the intention of touching the four "corner" states of the lower 40 (California, Washington, Maine and Florida).
My travels took me into several Canadian Provinces – a delightful addition to the tour. Most of my travel days were easy stretches of good roads and I stayed for 5 days in each location along the way.
