2016 Fall Trip, South Pass City SHP south of Lander, Wyoming, at the southern end of the Wind River Range off Highway 28. Good restoration of a mining town with interesting historical significance (women suffrage) and insight into mining methods for the period. Call the park or check the park web site for the mill tour schedule which is very worthwhile and visiting the mill requires being on a tour. Other ruins, Atlantic City, are in the area and camping is available at two
BLM campgrounds just north of South Pass as well as some good dispersed camping sites.
