Fall 2016 WY/CA/AZ/NM Trip. Summit Lake is in the center from Burro Pass above Virginia Lakes. Summit Lake borders Yosemite NP and the high country beyond Summit Lake is in Yosemite NP. Burro pass is less than 7 miles round trip and 1400 feet climb from the Virginia Lakes trailhead north of Mono Lake.
