Fall 2016 WY/CA/AZ/NM Trip, Mogollon Rim, east central Arizona, which is the southwest edge of the Colorado Plateau. "Mogollon" is the name of one of the early native American cultures of the southwest as is "Anasazi". Good gravel roads follow the upper rim edge with view points and both scenic edge designated dispersed camping sites and developed campgrounds. Trails follow the rim both above and below the rim. The area was popular on weekends but lightly used during the week other than developed campgrounds near lakes.
