Spring 2017 Virginia AT trip, a pasture crossed by the AT as it crosses "The Great Valley" after heading north out of Mount Rogers NRA which is the high range above the pasture in this picture. "The Great Valley lies west of the Blue Ridge and east of the Appalachian Plateau while running from Alabama to New York or Canada depending on the reference source. I-81 runs through "The Great Valley".
