Spring 2017 Virginia Mt Rogers NRA/AT trip, wild pony in the Virginia Highlands/Mount Rogers NRA. Ponies were released in the Virginia Highlands to prevent reforestation after the NRA was formed. Ponies were hardy enough to thrive in the harsh highlands weather.
