Late July 2014 Central Colorado Sawatch Range, Lost Man Lake from Lost Man Pass trail near Independence Pass east of Aspen. Independence Pass is labeled the highest paved through road in the country at around 12,100 feet, highway 82. Loveland pass in Colorado, interstate I-70, is only 100 feet lower but gets a lot more traffic.
