Birds

Photographing birds has become more interesting to me. I don't always know the species, but it's fun to figure it out at home on the monitor. I've followed an upgrade path on camera gear and now use a Canon 7D and 400mm lens for my latest work. It's a fantastic combo, and I need the practice.I live 30 mins away from the Great Pacific Flyway, so head down there in the winter when the light is good. I've also had excellent birding in Sierra Valley, north of Truckee.
