- I retired as a mechanical engineer just this year, and have been trying to figure out how to fill days. I caught the wanderlust several years ago, but never really camped until recently. That's been car camping in a Prius.
Buying an Escape will allow me to just up and go with two cats and an Amazon parrot. The parrot is a pretty good traveler, and I'm hoping the cats will adapt.
Since I'm new to this, I'm reading everything on the forum - daunting and exciting at the same time.
