It’s time for the Tick Talk

Last year we had a horrendous tick year. I treat clothes twice a summer as well as use picaridin spray. Our dog is thankfully mostly white. Last year it was common to find 4 a day on her. She also takes the 3-1 pill so if we miss them they die within 24 hours. Having an outside shower is also a blessing after field work a shower is the best way to avoid missing them. Permethrin treated clothes `works...I still tuck pant legs into socks.
For whatever reason this year has been the opposite. A few at the start of summer than nearly none since. Not sure why, winter freeze, rodent population ...
