Hey I have a 2022 Swift and I'm looking to add a 270 degree awning. I picked up the mule expedition brackets and I just need the awning now. What are folks running? My googling is coming up with really old results, like 2017ish, so I assume folks might be running different stuff than back then.

I was looking somewhat hard at the IronMan Delta Wing since it's on sale sometimes for like $600 something, however that price point scares me into thinking it has issues. I was also thinking of Reign as well but I've only seen the soft roading the west guy use it so I'm not sure if others have had issues it. OVS is another one I have been poking at as well.

I have literally done pull ups on my Alu Cab 270. I never bother to put down the pole. A cheaper awning may be worth it I don't know. I just know I don't worry about winds coming up while I'm out exploring.

The eezi-awn Batwing is at a reasonable price currently. Mainline Overland is running a july4 sale and it’s discounted at Equip1 also. The brackets for install are expensive though IMO,

I opted not to go 270, and am just getting a Swift to replace the Fiamma I left open for a rain storm. Just seemed easier for setting up extensions or windbreaks if I wanted.

Hi georgeofthedesert,
I am selling two Rhino Rack 270o batwing awnings on this site. They are both brand new, never used, never installed. One is the full-sized, one is the compact. Plus I have zip-on sides for each one.
I'll give you a great deal on either set-up!!
Please let me know if you are interested.
Thanks.

I got lucky and found some brackets at a local supply company. Put two together and ding, I can make an awning bracket with these.

I am about to purchase the mule expedition awning brackets,

My question is what is the preferred side of the camper, driver or passenger side? It looks like the Mule brackets will work on both sides I just need to choose; I am thinking driver would work better for me since my bike rack swings to the passenger side. The idea of having shade over the pass window is appealing though. I have a set of Yakima 270 awnings, so I have flexibility just wondering what you guys have found works best?

The 270° that's attractive to me is the FSR awning, but I'm not looking to put it on the camper. It will live on the Wagon. In part the FSR is attractive because it is the only awning that I've found with an optional full enclosure, including a floor. Others offer exterior perimeter walls, but none enclose next to the vehicle. The full enclosure might just render the RTT unnecessary.

I want it on the RS, and if we had a bike rack that swung to the right I'd want shade over the rack so that it could be an impromptu work station for the bike(s).
