Anyone have a good fix for my back door falling apart. The corners are separating and I'm thinking of bracing the corners with L brackets and riveting them in. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to hear. The other side is missing a bolt and the others are rusted and are going to fail sooner or later. One less thing to break, I'll be going airbag less.

I have a '97 Dodge 2500. I've had Air-Lift air bags under it for about 9 years. They were originally put in for a heavier and taller camper. A Callen. Well, I just got back from Baja and during the trip, one side busted the brackets off and bolts broke and air bag does not hold air anymore...

Mines a '94 Grandby. With an icebox ( broke apart and I removed it ), sink w/hand pump, and stove w/propane cabinet. So I have the basic stuff. It should be a no brainer to take it out.

Not paved to Gonzaga yet. About 15 miles of dirt from where the pavement ends. They are working real hard on getting the road done though.

Everything I've ever JB welded has come apart eventually. I can't imagine using it to fix frame pieces. Especially for roads like that in Baja. So I guess I'll tear out the panel and have a look. Hopefully I can rivet it with brackets. Thanks for the replies.

I can't see a picture of the cracks you speak of from the link. If you are referring to cracks above or around the door frame.....then YES....you should be concerned. It means the frame has cracked under the skin and it needs to be addressed. Attached is a picture of a crack that formed above...

We just got back from a remarkable trip to Baja. The whales are amazing. They want to meet you. At least once in your life, see the whales at Scammon's lagoon. The weather was perfect. The waves were also. We will go back next year to see the whales again. Our next trip down is April 2nd...
