RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Four Wheel Camper Hawk Shell build ? Are struts necessary?

Definitely get struts! Even on my old Fleet, it was a two person job to raise the roof. Lowering the roof was pretty sketchy too. After I installed struts, I can raise and lower with ease. Really saves my back and neck!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West WTB: Camper for a Tacoma

Oh, and it comes with steel bed mounts. My brother is a metal fabricator, so we copied the style that FWC uses for the Tacoma's.

That's when the styling is missing. That happens in some browsers, for whatever reason, the css doesn't load. I work on the web in the real world. I see that every now and then. Clearing the cache or doing a hard refresh should fix it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Transport in Tacoma without bed bars?

When I purchased my 1989 Fleet, I did not have the bed bars (or airbags) on my 2014 Tacoma. I used two ratcheting straps up front - connecting from the camper tie down points, over the front of the bed down to the frame. This helped keep the front of the camper down and forward. In the rear...
