RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West HP India Scam

I kept them on the line for 20 minutes the first time with my stupidity. They just couldn't understand why I couldn't find the key with the picture of windows on it (I'm using a Mac). Finally they got so frustrated they started cussing me out and suggesting what they were going to do to my...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tow Bars for Truck Campers

I've been flat towing my Jeep since '75 without any problems or hassle from the CHP. My original tow vehicle was a Dodge van with drum brakes and that was sometimes dicey. The Dodge 2500 I'm using now has more than enough brakes but I still worry about the Jeep passing me during a panic stop...

I just popped the switch out of the panel and drilled the hole. There's nothing mechanical or electrical in that part of the switch.

Get an older Dodge CTD and you'll never notice any wind noise.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Flat Towing HELP?

I've been flat towing my Jeep for years and haven't had that problem. Trying to back up will jack the Jeep wheels sideways but pulling forward straightens things out. I'm running about 6* positive caster and 1/4" toe in. I'm not sure what model Jeep you have but I'd check alignment and any...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic Toilet Water Pressure Pump Not Working

I don't have any experience with the Dometic toilet but I had a similar problem with my Thetford toilet. It turned out to be a tear in the pump bellows. I found a replacement bellows on the internet (not too expensive) and it was an easy repair.

I believe I sprayed the switch from both the top and bottom. You could just try spraying from the exterior to see if that works. I got my contact cleaner at Radio Shack years ago but you can also get it from Amazon or most electronics stores.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2015/16 Grandby Porch Light

I had a problem with my rear porch light and it turned out to be a dirty switch. I got a spray can of contact cleaner from Radio Shack and it seems to have fixed the problem.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AGM Battery Recommendation

I got 15 years out of my original Optima red top in my Jeep with zero maintenance. It even sat on the garage floor for 2 years while I was rebuilding the Jeep. The second red top (made in Mexico) lasted 4 years.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AAA Towing

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West HAWK SOLAR CONNECTION

I believe multiple panels can be used with an MPPT controller if they are similar voltage output. I run a 100w Renogy on the roof and a 100w Renogy flexible as a portable through a Morningstar MPPT controller with no problems. Both panels have an open circuit voltage in the 17v range.
