RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West You know you're a geezer when.......................

I took that road from Boone to Blowing Rock back in 72. Being a Calif boy I was amazed that a college kid had to take that 2 lane winding road to just get a beer. Now I find out it wasn't even a cold beer.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West No Hot Water For Showering

I've had problems in the past with the gunk that sheds off the anode in the water heater plugging orifices in the valves or screens in the aerator.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 3 way cooling problems

I don't have any experience with an ammonia leak. My failure was an ammonia dump. I opened the camper door after a rough trail and was almost knocked over by the ammonia in the camper. My fridge was dead after that but it could be that a slow leak would degrade performance.

Yes there is something worse. That's having a fridge full of food quit at San Ignacio Lagoon.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why We Do Not Have A Border Collie

Several years ago we had a WTW rally on the Animas River out side Silverton. One of the attendees did dog rescues and had either a Border Collie or Ausie that had been through herding school. One morning a herder brought his flock down the mountain and it became hard for him to contain the dog.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water system leak

Smoke, I've had the cabinet face off my '06 Granby several times and it's not too hard to do. Unhook and mark the wiring and remove the cabinet face screws. The wood that FWC uses is super light and the panel doesn't weight much. While the cabinet face is off I would recommend you find someone...

I have my panels fused on the roof before they enter the camper due to the chance of the wires shorting behind the lift panel.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Found my clunk

Craig I just checked my '02 Dodge shop manual and the instructions are to remove the springs and using a press remove and install the new bushings. Sounds like a job for a shop unless you have access to a press and a set of good jack stands. Dick

That window is a brittle shear wall for the cantilevered back of the camper. I would suggest replacing the tempered glass with safety glass and reducing the weight hanging back there.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West LFP4 Bluetooth failure

Stokeme I just went out and checked my StarkPower battery with the Power Sonic and Ionic apps you turned me on to and they both worked fine. Any problems I've experienced in the past were Bluetooth connection problems and not problems with the battery. I would suggest you turn off and restart...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rechargeable automotive Jump Starter question

Back to the original subject. I've got 2 of the Chinese jump starters that I received as gifts and wouldn't recommend either one of them. One can recharge my phone but not much else. The second will start my Toyota but won't help the Jeep and I wouldn't even consider it for my Dodge Cummins...
