We received about an inch of snow overnight -- more than a dusting or a skiff. :wacko: It really does seem odd to have temperatures drop to the low 20s -- even upper teens -- this time of year. A day or two, sure, but a week of winter in April is definitely unusual.

The forecast for Bend this coming week, with lows in the lower 20s and highs in the mid 40s... ...could easily be for mid-winter instead of mid-spring. I returned home to Bend with my travel trailer, thinking "winter is over". And yet...I just went out and winterized the RV's water system...

...And Bend's forecast high temperature today is 25° cooler than yesterday's high. :O I'm meeting a friend for lunch...guess we won't be sitting outside.

It's the only cereal I eat.

Today Bend set a record high temperature for the date, 7 April. The high was 79°F, beating the old record of 78° set in 2016.

I KNEW I came home from my Southern trip too soon. Now look, I'm snowed in! :( Good thing I stocked up on my favorite cereal this afternoon!

Yesterday I paid $3.799/gal for regular in Lumberton, TX (near Beaumont in southeast Texas)

Here in southern Louisiana, between Lafayette and New Iberia, it seems like prices of regular have dropped about 30¢/gal in the past few days...! I was didn't see anywhere less than $4/gal when I got here, and now I'm seeing $3.70/gal (+/-) in lots of places. :O

I do remember that when it was repealed President Ford said: "Our long national nightmare is over". Or was that something else...? :D

Instead of DST = "Daylight Saving Time", it should be DCT = "Daylight Consolidation Time". After all, it doesn't "save" anything -- the total amount of sunlight is the same. It just consolidates it to the evening. I guess if you really want to stick with DST, at least make it mean "Daylight...

My routine: I let my "connected" devices -- phone, computer, GPS-informed clock in my truck -- make the time change while I sleep. Then in the morning, if that new time seems to be stable and working out OK...no temporal abnormalities... I manually change the time on those devices that need help...

I paid $4.099/gal for regular in Port Barre, Louisiana. About 35 miles south of Port Barre in the much bigger Lafayette, prices were generally 20¢/gal higher. Hmmmm...
