RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Thinking about going Lithium, have questions...

Renogy has worked for me for close to 2 years.. zero issues. They had a solid sale for a 100ah for $479 and I jumped on it.. 200ah was shipped and it fit so I kept it.. (I run a smaller fridge, lights, furnace and have never gotten lower than 82%, 160 watts of solar and its charged by noon...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Platform for Fleet in 2019 F150

Just double check the depth of the bed of the truck in a few places, I recall they might differ slightly from the front part of the bed to the rear. I had a older fleet on a 14 F150 for a bit.. built about a 4 inch platform that also doubled as a little storage locker, was nice in that regard.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West F150 - Deaver Suspension

Glad you got the solution that worked for you! I have a 2016 F-150 HDPP also.. I added Biltstein 5100's (1 1/4 leveling up front) and it definitely improved the ride.. Without camper the truck is still very stiff and not great to drive but fortunately, its mostly a recreational vehicle at...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Traveling With A BIG Dog

We have 2 dogs, 60 and 45 lbs.. so not huge. We chose a Grandby Shell so that it had more of an open feel and lots more floor space (and added a few extra ourselves). Works great for us, but there are only 2 of us... I haven't thought much about dogs in the camper while on the road...ours are...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I need a new truck

Well, not exactly... my F150 HDPP has a payload capacity of 2611# and carries my Grandy shell (1200#) just fine..

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truck camper and tire rotation

Good question.. whatever Ford dealer does? So far it works great.. 20k on BFG KO2 and they look brand new to me... probably rotated more like every 6500 dish miles.. (truck only gets 10k per year, mostly a recreational vehicle at this point)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Adding a stove after initial purchase?

you bet.. from our experience, when on longer trips and trying to cook good meals we have found that we sometimes end up using both stoves... rice cooking inside, beans and a protein outside or something like that.. you can find propane splitters on amazon, I actually use one with 3 connections...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2022 F150 and a Truck Camper

My previous F150 had a payload of 1500 ish and we traveled to Baja twice with it and an older FWC (probably 900 lbs). We were right at the payload weight on those trips (I weighed it) and there were no issues, air bags and that was it.. But.. I do like knowing my current truck is more capable...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2022 F150 and a Truck Camper

ugh.. Frustrating you bought a truck not as advertised, the HDPP is a great option for a FWC and any camper. We have a 2016 supercab with 8 foot bed for our grandby and the trucks payload is 2611#. Our Grandby is 1250 when loaded and ready for a trip (its a shell with some added features). We...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Time For Another Truck Camper (8' with tailgate installed...Options?)

Grandby is the way to go in my opinion, especially if keeping it light is important to you.. Mine is exactly 8 foot so tailgate should close, my bed it exactly 8 feet and I cannot close it with the camper on (bumpers on the camper might have to be trimmed?) The Guenella is nice, going to be on...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West RV's...how much longer?

Certainly not everyone can have an electric vehicle for a variety of reasons.. We are lucky to have our Gas Guzzling FWC carrying truck (which also doubles as a work vehicle for our roofing business), a hybrid Prius (which I can use for most of my work, just not hauling stuff obviously) and a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Harvest Hosts? Any experiences out there?

Hey All We are curious if anyone with FWCs have experience with Harvest Hosts? We will be taking a winter road trip to CA and AZ and we really don't like traditional campgrounds, mostly boondocker types but seems CA is so overdeveloped that spots are harder to find.. Thanks in Advance!

Bummer, sorry to hear that.. I can't believe you aren't getting more interest, I honestly think this is the best FWC set up money can buy... I suppose I am biased but the only think I wish I could do different is get a flatbed with all the exterior storage boxes, but those are a bit pricey..
