RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Can you Use Hitch Power (4 pin or 7) to connect FWC for charging?

Curious if there is a way to do this? Just want to add a way of trickle charging while driving without adding an isolator?? Is it possible? recommended or not? Why? We have a set up that only power used is for led lights and fan, doesn't use much power. Spent 3 weeks in Baja and set up very...

I have an old Granby we re did.. I thought I was going to keep the siding as it had a few holes.. just depends where they are.. It is installed top down, typically with 3 pieces.. impossible to get top one out without removing bottom pieces. Its pretty cheap to get new siding, maybe $350 for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New to FWC

Welcome! I am fairly new to the FWC game but am already on my second. My story.. got a used older Fleet 7.5 for our F150 (6.5 bed).. bare bones and light. My wife and I spent about a month in Baja in it last winter with our 2 dogs. It worked out well, we were not over weight (damn close...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Granby Edition in a Tundra with 6.6 truck bed

Its the 6.5 bed, the biggest you can get with the Super Crew in an F150.. The truck has the standard payload capacity (1570 i believe). When loaded we are under the vehicle weight, but just barely.. (thats with 2 adults, 2 dogs and gear.. ). Truck averages just over 18 mph for its life so far...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Granby Edition in a Tundra with 6.6 truck bed

I have an old Granby (totally gutted and restored) on a 14 F150 SC 6.5 Bed.. Ours is very light, less than 1000 lbs.. We have the 5.0 motor and very little gas mileage drop until you hit 70 mph + I leave the tailgate on because I feel it needs support. We try to put a ton of weight in the...
