RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Toyota dealer wouldn't work on my truck w/ camper attached.

I haven't had any issues with my Ford and the camper on... however, I can see why maybe a mechanic wouldn't want the extra liability risk in case something happened..

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West F150 HDPP Appreciation Thread

They are not listed as endangered but there are special regulations on how to fish them, flies and lures only and of course catch and release only ( I haven't kept any trout, ever).. Apparently they have been forced out by non native fish, and climate change has made their environments fewer and...

I know it has been discussed, but thought I would start a thread for lovers of the HDPP F150 I just finished a trip within the state of Colorado, Front Range down to South Central Colorado for a week or so of camping/fishing. Just always impressed with this truck, 2016 SuperCab 8 foot bed...

Spot on.. I also don't think there is any tire for our needs that is going to last more than 40k.. I haven't seen it yet..

Agree with you on that.. I expected a louder tire for as aggressive the tread profile is.. but.. its not..

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lithium Battery

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electric Pickup Truck

Exactly.. We now have a full EV, a Toyota Prius and the gas guzzling truck.. We run a roofing business for a living so the truck is sometimes used for that, but have found I can do 95% of what I need with the Prius. As for money savings, the Prius has paid for itself in just gas in 2.5 years...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electric Pickup Truck

I love the idea.. but extended trips wouldn't really be an option and that's what we use ours for mostly.. and Baja would be out of the question.. Here is what we did... We just picked up a Kia EV6 last weekend. We will use it for as much local driving as we can and save all the gas $$ for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Buyers regret?

well said.. We went with a 2013 Grandby Shell with a furnace so that we would have as much open space as possible (we have 2 dogs).. This is our 3rd FWC and both older ones were shells also rebuilt by us.. A 82 fleet 7.5 and a grandby.. we really wanted the furnace and the extend overhand bed...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West F-150 With Heavy Duty Payload Package, First Hand Experience?

hmm.. weird.. second 5.0 that has hauled a camper and both produced same numbers (actually a little better in the older one (2014) but it wasn't HDPP so the rear axle ratio was different I believe.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West F-150 With Heavy Duty Payload Package, First Hand Experience?

That is completely inaccurate information in regards to the f150 MPG.. we consistently get 16-17 with a full load on our F150 5.0 HDPP.. I am not sure you if you missed the point about the heavy duty payload, ours is 2611 lbs.. plenty to spare when loaded for us..
