You will be fine. Over the last 11 years I've stored my 3 successive FWC's (yes, it is an obsession) outside in a Colorado winter with zero damage or leaks. Once the snow gets about 12" deep on the roof I take a roof rake and (gently given the skylights and solar panel) pull it off. DONE!

One of the first things I did on all three of my FWC's (2012, 2015, 2018- do you see a pattern here?) is take the bump stops off completely. It will move your COG forward which is always a good thing!

I just use a 6" extension on a socket wrench and (I believe) a 1 1/8" socket. Easy-peasy.
