Thanks Frank. I'll keep that in mind as I get used to this rig.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Delivered: My New 2024 Ocelot :-)

Thanks! I'm hoping the tire balancing has solved the issue, but I will keep this in mind if the problem persists.

Thanks! The shudder only occurred intermittently. I'm hoping the tire re-balancing does the trick.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Delivered: My New 2024 Ocelot :-)

Thanks for the comments and thoughts and congrats! I went to Les Schwab this morning and had all of my tires checked and re-balanced. The truck has <1K miles on it. Turns out the tires were all (way) out of balance (from the dealer). I'd of thought that would have manifested on the drive south...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Delivered: My New 2024 Ocelot :-)

Hooray! Just collected my new 2024 Ocelot from Marty last Friday. Spent my first night inside that same night on my way back home and caught some of the Northern Lights show here in Oregon. A great omen for many excellent adventures ahead. It is a nice fit on my 2024 V-8 RAM 1500 quad cab and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Avoiding Hail Damage - Advice?

I am wondering if anyone uses a physical means of protecting their campers (and trucks) during hail storms. I live in coastal Oregon, so not a big problem here, however it seems like large, damaging hail storms are not uncommon in MT, CO, TX, and other places where I may be wandering soon...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Step Recommendation?

That’s exciting! It could be, but I don’t know. I haven’t seen any pics of mine yet. However, I know mine had the ‘new’ lighter colors inside (cushions, wood paneling, counter top), and this one looks like it might be the older darker colors but hard to tell. So, this one might be an older one...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Step Recommendation?

Just checked with Marty who said the camper comes with a small handle so I’m going to see if that is sufficient otherwise will keep this in mind. Thanks!

Going to ask Marty this afternoon which handle he recommends/uses. I’ll mention this one. Thanks.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Step Recommendation?

Do you mean a handle on the camper itself? Because I don't have the camper just yet, it's difficult to picture what will work best. Thanks.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Step Recommendation?

Thanks Drumwood. Was it difficult to remove the swing up handle? I hadn’t considered that but its a smart way to keep the weight and size down on the Little Giant options.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Step Recommendation?

I like the Otto but would then still need something for the side clasps. Maybe get the portable folding step for that task!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Step Recommendation?

I will be collecting my new ATC Ocelot soon (hooray!) on a RAM 1500 and am still trying to figure out what steps will work best for me and my older 50lb dog. Older posts have shown a few options namely: Hitch receiver-mounted steps Small foldable stepstools (one or two steps) Single step/...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West F350 scissor jack

Thanks Tom. I am comfortable with using HiLift jacks, and had assumed that was the go-to solution until seeing people here discussing bottle jacks. I hadn't seen the Jack Mate before - that looks like a very handy addition to the jacking toolkit along with adapters, base plates, and having...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truck Camper and Using Multi-Pro Tailgate?

For a hard-sided option, the Cirrus 620 is a really nice camper. I actually had a deposit on one. Was very excited until I realized that I could not fit it into my (only option) parking slot next to my house. It was too tall and would not clear the roof line of my house. I had carefully and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another Solution In Search of a Problem

It looks like they are adding those mini-jumpseats to a megacab truck i.e. the crew cab with extra room behind the second row. Beyond that, I can't visualize how the back wall of the truck turns into a 'gate' or whatever they are calling it.
