I have entertained the idea of installing a marine type battery switch(main cut off)for a while now. After reading this I'll get off the fence get er done. Will locate switch so it would be unnecessary to access the battery compartment for quicker response for emergency shut down.

Besides price; Compatibility with your truck battery if charging the camper battery while driving can be an issue. Lead acid can also be a problem if it is in a non ventilated compartment.

You could install a permanent battery charger tied into the shore power(through a switch) so it can be on when when plugged in. Even though the fan is drawing 12v, the battery will be replenished. If cost is not a prohibiting factor, why not buy 2 panels use one for the truck batteries and install(wire) the second panel directly to the camper house battery, thus avoiding the long run of romex and the voltage drop. If you don't have one, you might want/need to install a cut off switch...

I think Old Crow might be on the right track there. Which could mean the phone is connected to the raw output voltage of the panel. I would put a meter on it and check.

Check the seal along the front, mine had collapsed due to age. I refurbished it and have had no leaks since.

Most struts will have the rating printed on the strut body. You might need to remove them to see the info.

Update: Well it took 3 tries(second shipment arrived and box was empty), I guess the third time is a charm. Received the new struts from Tool Deals and all is good, installed and ready to go.

If you want it to be efficient on 12v, then you'll need to go with a compressor type.

Looks like the install of lift struts requires brackets with an offset so the struts will clear the drip edge on the roof. Do the lower brackets mounted on the camper require the same offset or can they be flat brackets?

Running Cooper ATPs E load range. Very happy with them on sand, gravel(don't slide around), wet handling is not as good as my Michelins but still good. They are pretty quiet and track well on the highway. I tried BFG KO2s but they felt squishy at highway speeds, even at 80 psi.
