RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Soon to be bobcat owner in NC getting excited

Sounds like you have the right mentality. Keep it simple, especially at first. You will love sleeping on a flat, padded bed, a huge step above backpacking. The rest falls into place as you use it. Everyone has their own style and preferences. I try to keep things stowed where they are used so...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Marty & Jeff's New Toy.

I was in this mid build and it truely is a labor of love. I wouldn't even be able to guess what a rig like this would cost. Everything has been thought through and designed well. I think it makes a great sales brochure and hope they get it out in public a lot. It is darned near perfect.

I don't have that option. Here is what I see: Wow, that was a long code. I hope it works. I think I am a senior member due to longevity. I have been around since 2009, and there have been system changes that I think grandfathered me in. If you want to assign my title how about "Gypsy Feet"?

I am curious about the member titles some people have. I don't see any way for a member to set their own, so is this something "gifted" by the moderators? Mr. Mumbles Card Carrying Geezer Free Range Human Fellow Wanderer Magellan come to mind, but most have Senior member or advanced...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New ATC's Are Awesome

I think they are offering a white interior panelling option now. I like my oak look, but they said it was getting "dated". They said they were going to offer both. My Bobcat bed is 48" wide, but has a slide out that makes it 72". The only pictures I have of the LED lights are mud covered from...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How about a Spring Time WTW Rally - Carrizo Plain ?

I apologize for not making it either but I tried. I got there at two and couldn't find any sign. I went out the probable road to where there was a gate but no sign of occupation. It was raining and the road was getting slippery and I realized no one would know where to look for me (got to get...

I too was intrigued by the "wicking effect" comment. Not something I have ever heard about before, but it makes sense. How amazing to see it in action.

I am bringing potato salad and carrot cake for the Potluck. I will be happy to ride with someone else for the Geo tour. I will arrive mid afternoon Friday. Hope I can find the site. I don't have a GPS.

Welcome to the group. I can't help you with the local visit, but I am sure someone will chime in. It is that kind of group. Enjoy the decision process and waiting. We can all relate.

Lovely pictures. I just want to say thank you to Randy P and Tuff Guy 62 for the recon efforts. Although the pictures make it look like it wasn't such a hardship, I still appreciate the effort it took and look forward to meeting everyone. A potluck sounds like a great idea.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Landscape Photography Thread

Lighthawk: I got a little confused. There is a Table Mountain in Tuolumne County that was created the same way with very similar vegetation. Your pictures are beautiful and a reminder to me that I better get to my Table Mountain soon before the vernal pools dry up. Beautiful pictures. Travel safe.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West table options for eagle with couch

I use an ironing board. It was dirt cheap at a yard sale and is adjustable height for multiple uses. It goes outside as a cook table. But storing it is the most difficult part.

Hey Old Crow, You saved the best hint for last. This is a real creative way to handle it. Thanks 4. I do lots of searches on WTW so gave myself a shortcut for a quick wanderthewest search without having to type in that long address. I created a bookmark by doing a search for a term I know...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why did you choose ATC over FWC

I went back and reread the entire thread. Some things have changed in the years. I want to describe the windows in my ATC, since that was an issue brought up in the thread. As of June 2015, ATC used a 4 layer system. The external layer made of the same fabric as the walls (what they use for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why did you choose ATC over FWC

I chose ATC because they would build me exactly what I asked for. They asked me questions to define my choices, but never said anything was impossible. While there to pick up ours, they showed me one being built where the guy wanted to use bean bag chairs as furniture, so there was a small cube...
