I had a 1993 23’ Multiplan for a while. Well built rig even as old as it was. The engine in ours gave out or I would still have it. 8 miles per gallon got painful though. Sometimes it felt like 8 gallons per mile. Good luck.

A gamma lid is a screw ring that pounds on the five gallon bucket then the lid is threaded to create a fairly good seal. I have used them for years for dog food and charcoal outdoors. Keeps minor critters out. About $7 if I remember correctly.

I threaded a piece of nylon webbing under the ATC wooden piece you are supposed to push to lift the roof. I used the plastic buckles like on backpacks to make it the right length for using to stabilize while going up or down. Because it is flexible there is no head bonking issue.

This is an awesome layout. I almost wish I had seen this before I got mine. I like the wet wet locker opposite the propane tank. Good use of space especially when the bed is extended. I like the benches and double windows. Someone is going to get a great rig.

I would love to hear more about you reasons for doing this and how you ran the regulator to the bottom. Neat idea.

Some people have even put a slide drawer in this space to make it useful.
