RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Nor Cal to Spokane Fri-Sun, Road Conditions?

Still have lots of family and friends in Spokane, weather is mixed. Highways are clear right now but winter driving conditions. More cold weather in the forecast but the 4-5 foot drifts that were in eastern Washington have been cleared. Usually the worst part of the drive is through the...

I've seen RV's parked in the lots at Salt River Field but don't know what the rules are. Usury Pass and Lost Dutchman State Park both have campgrounds.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Our Winter Break Trip 2018 - Nevada & Arizona

Glad you enjoyed Kofa! I spent my last trip there not too far from Skull Rock, since I was going to be there for several nights I didn't want to have people coming through camp all the time as they visited. And you're spot on, there is a ton to explore in the area.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Overland Expo West Must see sites along the way?

I'd look at going to Toroweap on the way there then across 89 out of Kanab and down House Rock Valley Rd to 89A, nice campsite overlooking Badger Rapids in Marble Canyon.

Thanks, mounted to a D7200 for now. At some point I'd like to upgrade to a D500 for the better focus and buffer but it won't be happening anytime soon unless one of those to good to pass up deals comes along.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Years in the desert, what to do?

Will do. It looks like there might be some stealth camping available west of San Antonio, at least that's what I'm looking at right now. Might end up on the Mohave Rd instead.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Years in the desert, what to do?

With four days off for New Years my current plan is to head east and visit Bosque del Apache and perhaps White Sands NM since I'll be traveling solo. That being said I would be open to a trip on either Camino del Diablo or the Mohave Road, just don't really want to do either one by myself for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Southeastern Utah - Fall 2018

Vic- I've done both sides a couple times and they are different with Comb Ridge dividing the two. On the west side Comb Ridge is much more vertical while accessing things from the east in Butler Wash there are more ruins that you can gain access to and I find better hiking along that side of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mexico (Mainland) here we come (soon)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West RFI - Grand Staircase - Escalante

They do grade the road periodically but yeah, it gets bad in a hurry. Sees a surprising amount of traffic. Air the tires down and find the sweet speed to smooth things out, there's a lot to see out that road and the side roads off of it. A WtW photo meetup/workshop would be very interesting...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Toiletries and meds

Back when I was doing lots of whitewater I started using an ammo can for carrying meds/toiletries/basic first aid and sundries that I always wanted nearby. I would strap it to the raft frame next to me if rowing a boat or if in a kayak I would get one of the boatmen(women) to give me an easily...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Idaho

Big state, long border with Montana, what time of year? The Magruder Corridor and Lolo Motorway would both be worth checking out but probably not until July. If you get into August you'll start seeing smoke from all the western fires, or at least that's been the pattern the last 5-6 years...
