RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suggestions needed for Utah exploring from St. George in early October

Toroweap/Tuweep \</end_thread> Seriously if you can still get a spot in there I would drive from the North Rim up to Fredonia and Kanab for a quick resupply then head over and go into Tuweep and enjoy the canyon for a few days away from crowds. You can then exit out of Tuweep and go over the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current fridge options

With the Isotherm Cruise 65, 200 Watts of Solar and Two batteries I have no troubles maintaining charge even when I run the furnace at night and have cloudy days. I find that if camped under tree cover I can typically go 2-3 days without issue, YMMV. I would definitely recommend going for the...

I bought mine at Fasteners in town. They had to order them in but they are Grade 5 and I think were about $8.00 each.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Recommendations: NE Oregon to Escalante/GSC Areas

I plan on leaving Spocompton on the 15th for 15 days or so down that way but probably on the other side of the river for the most part unless I happen to put in for some time at Tuweep before the gathering the 21st-24th. I think I'm going to explore Cedar Mesa and Grand Gulch, maybe to a 3 day...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West RFI Water Filters

MSR Hyperflow here. Small, light, fast and not terribly expensive. Cost is around $100, I think the advertised rate is 3 liters/minute, two hoses, one with an adapter for wide mouth bottles the other for the source with a prefilter. Make sure to back flush it periodically for longer filter life.

I'll probably be heading south towards Cedar mesa around mid-October and could meet up for a night or two along the way. haven't figured out what the route is going to be so SE Oregon could be in the mix.

Hmmm, Stanley, ID is pretty much dead center of the path, sitting in a nice hot spring while watching the eclipse wouldn't be terrible.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Huckleberries in SE WA, NE OR

Haven't hears about that area but I know further north the season has pretty well finished up. Was up at Priest Lake last weekend and most of what was still on the bushes has dried up to the Huck version of a raisin. I would say best bet would be north facing with some sort of small creek...

I suspect it will cool 50 sq ft if plugged in but doubt that it will be able to cool it and maintain a cool temperature for fery long on battery power. It also doesn't talk about power consumption so how big a hit would it be on the inverter?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Isotherm Refrigerator in New FWC

Isotherm Cruise 65 makes ice and I've put meat in it and frozen it without a problem when plans changed, I run a remote temp sensor and my fridge temp typically registers mid 30's and freezer in the single digits but there is a bit of variation from time to time, Biggest problem is that I got...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West On to Idaho! - Summer 2016

"The complex geology of the Wallowas" is an apt phrase, one of my geology profs devised a scoring system for how complex an areas geology is and the Wallowas were near the top of his list. Now he may have been a bit prejudiced since we were in Walla^2 but beautiful mountains anyways.
