RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West TieDown location on 2020 6.5 ft F150 for Panther

I have a Panther on a Tundra so ymmv. The eye bolts are to the outside edges about as far as they will go such that they are on a flat portion of the bed bottom and to have room for the large fender washers. The forward ones are as far forward as they will go. The rear ones are 20 inches in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Do you love your kitchen sink faucet?

You might check out Panther RV for a variety of faucets. https://pantherrvproducts.com/ac539m/ This faucet is similar to the one we have on our dometic smev sink which has a couple of nice features. First the faucet folds down and Second the handle operates the pump so you don't have to use...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 270° Awning on Pop-up Camper

I don't have the same awing but I mounted my Rhino Rack Batwing awning two different ways. First time was with jack bracket mounts which worked great but was a pain to remove to reinstall the jacks. Like mentioned above, the awning needs to be high enough to clear the door so ends up above...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Do you use water tank for drinking water?

Like most I drink the water out of the camper. The camper tank is probably cleaner than most of the Reliance or Scepter jugs I carry as extra on occasion. When I rinse out the antifreeze each spring, I use an RV water system flush with a couple of rinses and call it good.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West To those with an ATC...

I would call Marty at ATC for specifics on your build. I specifically asked Marty the width of the isle on our Panther. We drove out from Colorado when we picked up ours and we were planning a Redwoods road trip as soon as we picked it up. Everything was exactly as described by the guys at...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West To those with an ATC...

Yeti 45 in ATC Panther. But note that the Panther is 84" wide which means the isle is wider... A cooler will fit on top of the cabinet when the top is up. But not when lowered.

No, with the top lowered there is very little space above that cabinet.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Stovetop oven

I've used the Backpackers Pantry which is no longer made, works well but is small. And the Omnia oven with mixed results - And just purchased the Bemco oven from the guy who makes them https://www.backpackeroven.com/oven-specs but haven't tried it yet.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Toilet System for Shell

Vic, it does not stay in place. I cut a ring out of scrap plywood to keep it in place. The seat stores under the bench in the camper.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Toilet System for Shell

We have a thetford, a luggable loo and reliance hassock. They are either too short or the seat is too small or both. I ended up making one out of a 5 gallon bucket with gamma seal and a real toilet seat. I attached a plywood piece under the seat to keep it in place on the bucket...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Newbie with questions about purchasing a FWC.

I don't leave the camper on the truck unless we plan to use it in the near future. It doesn't take much time to mount or remove it. I stuck a piece of tape to mark the center of the camper and a matching piece in the center of the bed for alignment. The hardest thing about taking the camper...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Bobcat

Congratulations, I'm sure you will really enjoy the new camper. My wait was about 6 months in 2017, It'll give you plenty of time to setup the truck how you want it. Enjoy!

We went from a Yeti 45 to the TruckFridge TB51 and love it. We do sometimes carry the Yeti 20 in the cab for drinks.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New batwing awning

I originally mounted the awning with jack bracket mounts I fabricated. They were 1x2 aluminum uprights with 1 1/4" (1/4" thick) angle for the top. The rear upright was solid bar and the front 1/4 " hollow tube. They did require mounting high enough to clear the door when deployed and out...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A few pre-purchase, Bobcat buyer questions...

Hi Michael, Congratulations, I went round and round when our ATC Panther was being built. We had plenty of time after putting in the order to make changes in the build. 1. Roof Vents - I went with both vents, with the fantastic fan in the rear. We seldom use the one over the bed and in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Reflectix-How to attach to the FWC windows

On my ATC, I cut it large enough that it is held in place by the curtain rods. I saw a video on a van conversion blog where they used suction cups with a thumbtack back that you just push through the reflectix and any cloth covering when you want it to stay in place. They are made for holding...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Teledork's Mobile Ski Lodge

Nice, very functional. I love to see how people make their ATCs fit their personal tastes. It was a very short ski season, we were up there the day the governor shut it down. The area still has over a 50" base but the county isn't allowing visitors yet :(

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Would a bobcat work on my truck?

Sage makes a good suggestion, if buying new, ATC may be able to make the overhang a custom length. Keep in mind when measuring that the camper sits about 2" behind the front wall of the truck bed due to the rubber bumpers. So, measure straight up from the bed (about 2" back), not from the...
