RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Winter camping

I think it was about $50 back then... It worked great. But I didn't usually drive with the fridge on propane. This one on ebay looks the same. As I recall it was actually for a water heater...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Additonal Sleeping Platform Mod in Panther?

Lyndon, I think it is doable. I have an ATC Panther which is their widest model. I am 6'2" and can sleep across the camper. Here are some pictures so you can see if there is enough room. You need to allow enough room for the lift panels to fold. One disadvantage would be entry since you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar Install on Bobcat, Need Help.

I am also planning to do the through the roof wiring on my Panther as I did not order it with the solar wiring option... Here is Ski's description on adding wiring through the roof and hiding it behind the front lift panel. As far as reinforcing the headliner, I used clear Tear-Aid repair tape...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bunk Head Room – Fleet VS. Hawk

kgree3, As klahanie indicates, ATC does in fact list taller panels on their option page. In shortbed models, they have the Bobcat for smaller trucks and the Ocelot (for full sized trucks) is available in 72 or 78 inch widths. The Panther is 84" wide. I believe they can make the footpack to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New batwing awning

JEMiller, Here are some pics of my install, different awning and camper but might give you ideas. I used 1x2 aluminum for the uprights to clear the roof so that it could be placed higher to clear the camper door. The rear is solid aluminum bar and the front upright is tube. Then, 1x aluminum...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Family of 4, table options?

Ghettofab75, If you don't already have a Grandby, you might take a look at the ATC Cougar as it is 84" wide. I have an ATC Panther which is the same width and you can squeeze by the table. I used to have a FWC Ranger which was basically an 8ft long Eagle. We sat 4 around the table when the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Sleeping quarters orientation

If you are looking at the FWCs and ATCs, most beds are east/west (across the camper). I have an ATC Panther on my Tundra and it is 84 inches wide. I'm 6'2" and have no problem sleeping across, neither my head/pillow or feet touch the sides. Both brands have extensions to the bed which allow...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Any update on the new crop of flex solar panels ?

Over the summer, I mounted 2 of the Solar Blvd 120w flex panels onto twin wall polycarbonate greenhouse panels attached to an aluminum frame. They are through a Victron 100/20 controller. However the frame and panels ended up being very light weight. The greenhouse panels and solar panels are...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone know what track system is used to hold this table?

It looks like this one. Or maybe this one. A trailer I used to have had a track like that to hang an outside grill.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How waterproof, ice-proof, snow-proof is the FWC?

I tried the DampRid last winter and it worked great. You want to keep the buckets upright if you are going to be driving your truck as the buckets collect water from condensation. And I remove the mattress from the cab-over bed and store it in the house. I keep my camper in a storage lot with...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The All Terrain Campers photo thread

Earlier this summer we camped at Rifle Gap State Park. We had a view of the area where some artists erected a curtain in the early 70s... It was a really windy location. I guess the curtain didn't last very long. :D
