RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West For Those Running Air Bags

Hellwig's? Any insight on Hellwig. They appear to have the easiest (no drill) for my truck and Firestone only has the light weight bags for my model. http://www.truckspring.com/hellwig-air-helper-springs-hw6012.html Kilroy, I noticed sag at 80-85K as well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag suggestions

Fisherman Sag isn't extreme(yet?), justing noting that I think air bags would be a good idea on the 1/2 GMC/Chevys. Have not been bottoming out and inspections are clean. I really like the look of the Pac Brakes but without modification they won't fit my or Skyhigh's trucks. I have really been...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag suggestions

Sorry Fisherman I have a 99 Sierra half ton and have started to notice some uneven settling after a couple years of constant use, so I am also considering airbags. Fisherman, I know you love the pack brakes but they don't have a set for us post 98 GMC/Chevy half-toners. :( Fish quota is...

Kilroy, I used tarp bungees back to the yakima rack that was there. Now back to stainless hook that I attached to the top sides. I made it for a 5' X 7" stack tarp. Link to old post for more photos: http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=534

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A few quick shots of the shady boy awning

Just a consideration Don't know about Hayduke but I picked the shady boy partly because it is self supporting under calm conditions. I wanted to avoid having to stake out or deploy ground legs except under windy conditions. I have had mine on for almost a year. I don't deploy it all the time...

New floor and Fantasic Fan I got theses in last month but took awhile to get photos and downloads. Decided the old floor needed to go, cuts, stains and style. Lucky for me I had a roll of sheet vinyl that was from my kitchen floor left over. I kept it a single sheet with no holes or screws...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West do I need a fridge?

I like using the fridge for perishables, got the DC/propane not the 3way. Still keep a medium cooler in the cab for snacks and beverages. Sorry to say I did kill my battery once with it, lucky I was in a campground and not out there. Since then I added an aux and solenoid.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Great advice! I you don't have one, GET ONE! Especially if you run a heater at night. In theory CO is the same density as air so as long as it is mounted on a horizontal or vertical you should be good. Avoid corners, they form air pockets. Alarms will start sounding at a much lower level than...

I have the draw-tite work step that is on the site Kyle posted. It was a hand me down, didn't know they are so much $$. I drilled a second hole in it so it can slide all the way in and lock then move it out when in camp to minimized backing hazards. I has been nice and sturdy for me.

Star, I did catch your post, thanks. I would have to check but I have the manual filter and don't know if the pur would fit. My primary concern is the bacteria reduction. With the mix of domestic and well systems I fill off of there is always that doubt. This includes my home water off of a...
