RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camping Double Cabin, WY

I just got back from a beautiful 4 day weekend at Double Cabin, WY. It is a great place to visit and hike and fish! The access road from Dubois is first paved, then smooth gravel and finally curvy, sometimes rough Fort Service road. I thought my 2013 Tundra with Hallmark Milner is an ideal rig...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Starlink Roam

I am interested in acquiring Starlink Roam for use with my 2017 Hallmark Milner on a 2013 Toyota Tundra. I prefer not to have the antenna mounted on the camper but set the antenna up for optimum viewing. The camper has two rooftop solar panels(I forget the wattage), a new Interstate 12V RV...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Luxury boondocking - has everything!

I recently looked at the Alaskan flatbed and it would have the advantage of being a hard-sided camper. But, I'll stay with my Hallmark Milner on my 2013 Tundra extended cab. Much more maneuverble on gravel roads and it works for us 80 year olds!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Boxio Toilet (and sink unit)

I also question if the name composting is appropriate for these toilets. Friends of ours bought a Trelino toilet and highly recommend it. So I ordered one and three weeks later they have not shipped it. Not impressed!

I added a leaf to my springs and have airbags. Doesn't the double cab have only a 5.5" bed??

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Southeastern San Juan Mountains, CO & NM

I loved your adventures in the eastern San Juans. Great photos of birds and dragonflies! I'm not sure you correctly identified that hairy woodpecker. I looked it up and certainly not the coloration and shape of one. It almost looks like a kingfisher! I used to have a yurt outside of Creede, CO...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2019 Tundra with ATC Ocelot has rear bounciness

It looks like you have an Access cab with a 6.5' bed. Good! I call those crew cabs with a 5.5' bed "toy truckers" because a serious working truck has at least a 6.5' bed! I have a 2013 Access cab Tundra with a Hallmark Milner which is heavier than your rig. I had an extra set of leaf springs...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Outfitter or Hallmark - help me decide!

My son has a newOutfitter on his Tundra with a 6' bed. He has a casette toilet which is kind of in the door way. He loves it! I have a 2017 Hallmark Milner. I agree with the comments above that Hallmark has better cabinetry and top line equipment(stove fridge, etc). My Milner has more windows...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How Thirsty are 2nd GEN Tundras? 5.7 V8s

Remember gas costs are a small fraction of costs associated with owning a truck/camper. The low maintenance costs of a Tundra easily overcomes the cost of gas! I have almost 100K miles and just change the oil. It is like a new truck!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How Thirsty are 2nd GEN Tundras? 5.7 V8s

Yes, I get 11 to 12 mpg with my 2013 Tundra with a 2017 Hallmark Milner. I love driving the rig over CO mountain passes. I added a spring on each side and airbags, so no sway, handles like a sportscar!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2023 Tundra

As to high side rails, I use stock pads on my 2013 Tundra. They can be purchased at places like tractor supply. I'd like the 2023 tundra with turbocharged, hybrid V6 but as far as I know, they only sell it as crew cab with 5.5' bed.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Can anyone name this route?

Not sure about New Mexico, but in CO you took Hwy 285 to Alimosa, then 160 to South Fork, then Hwy 149 to Creede, Lake City, then Hwy 50 to Gunnison, then northeast over Cottonwood Pass to Buena Vista. A beautiful drive, especially now with the aspen in color.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2019-2020 Tundra Double Cab ?

Double cab? Doesn't it only have a 5.5' bed? No camper on it! I have a 2013 Tundra extended cab with 6.5' bed and it gets 15 to 16mpg sans camper and with my Hallmark Milner it gets 11.5 to 12.5 mpg. I just ordered two 3 gal gas cans to extend the limited range of the 26gal tank. But remember...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Outfitter or Hallmark - help me decide!

I have a 2017 Hallmark Milner. The advantage of Hallmark is the cabinetry and fridge/stove/furnace are all first rate, better than any camper(at least a dozen) I have had over the years. Moreover you can't beat their service. I'd go with the cassette. With our smaller Milner we just use a...
