RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Replacement camper batteries

Are you saying that the battery box was meant for another size (group 24?) and you just turned the group 31 sideways in the smaller box? I'd have to measure the top-to-bottom clearance to see if something like that would work for me. I assume you hooked up the leads before putting the battery in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Replacement camper batteries

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West It only takes one to wreck it for everyone.‏

I feel Bill's pain, and agree that the changes we are seeing (more pavement and established campgrounds) are due to population pressure. The US population has doubled since I was born, and California has had more than their share of that growth. Even here in relatively sparsely populated New...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West El Nino

That '97 El Niño was just before I moved to the Sacramento Mountains. I heard stories about the great snowfall here that winter and snow banks that lined the Sunspot Highway many feet high. My skis and snowshoes would like to see some of that.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Astro Thread

Perseids time again! It's time to head to a dark spot and set the alarm for midnight. The hard part is staying awake when you are comfortably wrapped in a sleeping bag in your reclining lawn chair looking for meteors. No moon until very late, so it could be good this year. Here's the info...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Jemez Springs, NM?

Just a heads-up that it looks like it could be wet out that way this week. Might be a good idea to check on the status of the roads at the district office. http://www.fs.usda.gov/main/santafe/about-forest/districts

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fire Season is Here

Here in NM we've had an unusually wet Spring, and an easy fire season has been forecast. I'm staffing a lookout again this year, but it looks like it will be a low stress season. I have a feeling some of you to the west of me will be seeing our hotshot crews out your way.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Front Driver Side Eyebolt

On my Eagle, the bolt head was in the narrow gap between the driver's side cabinet and front of the camper. What I had to do was pull up the carpet to access the bolt. Apparently I don't have the narrow cabinet you describe. Good luck, and let us know what your fix is.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone bother fixing hail dents in their roof?

I have hail dents on the camper roof. Personally, I just think it adds character. I have no plans to do anything about them. But, my camper is older than yours, and I can understand you might feel differently.
