Once again I was absolutely mesmerized by your photos and lost myself in reading your report. Since I have not been able to get out I really needed that! Thanks

Oh man that hurts! I’m sitting here with a nice cup of coffee and imagining how good a slice of the would go with it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I Lost my Sweet Dog Dexter to Cancer

I am so sorry, I know that just rips your heart out. Every time I have had to go through that I have said “no more dogs” and here I am yet again with another “best friend”. This one a black lab, we try and get something different so we can’t compare apples to apples. Their memories will always...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Native Cutthroat Trout

WHAT CLIMATE CHANGE! Thanks for sharing! It would be interesting to follow and see how they thrive. Hopefully the can control the “recreational fishing” I have been a TU member for a long time, starting in CO and even now down here in TX our TU chapter is doing some great work. “The most...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT Overland Fuel Can Corner Bracket

I just wanted to add that with my Hawk and Tundra I did not have much room and did not want to jack up the camper to attach the plate. I wedged a piece of wood (1/4-3/8”?) between the plate and the truck rail and from inside the truck, using my x-Ray vision, multiple prayers and dubious methods...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT Overland Fuel Can Corner Bracket

I have both the AT holder and the Mule Awning brackets. I just went out to look at mine and I can not figure out how you can attach the can holder by itself to the Mule bracket. Unless they changed something it looks like the FWC screws that go into the jack bracket will throw the can holder to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Keeping Hawk cool in summer

We have stayed in our Hawk in pretty hot temps and high humidity that was rated as “oppressive”. The key was VENTILATION! We have the small drivers side window as well as the large passenger side window and two powered roof fans, one blowing and one sucking (we are still in a debate as to if...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West WTB Shell vs Complete Camper

My reasoning for a shell is that my camper lives on my truck, I don’t want to be hauling all the “camping” stuff and the weight around with me all the time. When I go on a trip I load up what I need for that trip. Plus we (my wife, me and a 85 pound lab) have room to move while inside and not...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Colorado Wildflower Tour - July 2021

Once again thank you so much for your beautiful pictures and tour. And in my opinion quality trout fishing waters are very special, just like New Mexico Green Chili! In New Mexico it’s hard to match the “Hatch” ! (only fly fishers and folks from NM will get that) Oh I crack myself up.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Renogy/Ali Battery Monitor - Review

I have the little round AiLi BVM (love it!) and at first a lot of users complained about it”glowing all night” then I read something about being able to hold down two of the buttons and it turns it off or to a low readable state.. I was ready to cover mine up until I found that! You might check...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fire Rings - Clean Them Up!...And Make Them Disappear

I have started carrying one of those “gabber stick things” in my camper to pick up the trash around the campsite and in the fire ring but I never thought about dismantling the ring itself. That makes all the sense in the world! Ya want one? Your going to have to work for it! But it does make me...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Vinyl Siding Durability on New FWCampers

My Corrugated (I guess that’s what you call it) aluminum Hawk does not have scratches, but my Tundra does! When I bought my Hawk I really liked the smooth, my dealer said it will show scratches. Living inTexas and Mesquite country I went with the standard. It’s still looking good.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Texas Posse scolded

Having lived in Colorado for 16 years and travelled all over the State and it’s mountains fishing and climbing I am now kind of embarrassed while visiting and driving my Tundra and FWC with Texas plates. Well maybe embarrassed is not the right word, maybe self conscious. We still have friends...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC DIY modifications & item weights advice

It’s all personal preference and needs. I like my Hawk Shell because I can vary everything on the length of the trip. I prefer to do my cooking outside so I carry a 2 burner stove for relaxing times outside but I have a small SnowPeak backpacking stove for quick hot water for coffee or oatmeal...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar Charging Issue

Not an expert… but but I had a similar issue when setting mine up. Make sure the settings on the Mppt did not get changed on the battery voltage. If it thinks the bat is full it won’t charge or show any volts coming in from the solar and basically turn off. Also, in the past are you sure your...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West MAXTRAX on roof rack

I did the same except with square 1” bars. And ran the racks closer together and the traxx sideways. It makes it a lot easier to load and unload, I can stand in the door and do it and I’m not tall. Unless you are using the rack for something else have you tried that?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A/C for Eastern Humidity and heat ?

If this is a reply to my post I was referring to using the same small widow on the drivers side Y’all are using. And yes I will need to look at the particular AC unit to see the amps drawn and the length of the extension cord to get the right gauge. Thanks
