RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT or Rotopax for ATC Build

I decided to get both carriers. Rotopax on the drivers side, which will only get filled on long off road trips, and an AT jerry can holder on the passenger side which I plan to use for my water supply. Much easier to just have it built that way from the factory from the get-go. How's that for a...

$3.95 gal in Auburn yesterday. No matter how you try to justify it, it sucks!! It was 10-11 gals short of a fill up but I guess there was a $100 limit!?

Great stuff - it's amazing how much great music is out there. I'm always searching for new music and whenever I run across someone new (to me) I wonder how they had escaped me all those years!!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Beware

Whenever I have any issue with an Amazon item, especially with one of their 3rd party sellers I immediately request a refund. There will be a section asking for reason of return and just select the most appropriate. You should get an immediate pre-paid return shipping label. No use wasting time...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT or Rotopax for ATC Build

I have 2 of the Scepter 10L water containers which for the most part are great but you have to tip it over to pour water out of it. The Front Runner container looks promising because of the water spigot.

Thanks all. I'm learning towards getting both setups. Since I won't have a sink the AT carrier would be a perfect place to carry water!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Move over, San Andreas fault

On a human timescale, I recall seeing a documentary years ago about the possible damage to the Naval Weapons Depot in China Lake or the Army Depot in Hawthorne Nv if there were to be an earthquake larger than the 1995 5.8 Ridgecrest temblor. I think the documentary was done during the time the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT or Rotopax for ATC Build

To you and Wandering Sagebrush - do you have any issues using the CARB compliant spout? When I spec'd my build, Marty recommended the AT can holder because he thought the Rotopax CARB spout was a pita. I've used the same jerry cans for years and use an old non compliant spout. Whether you can...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AT or Rotopax for ATC Build

Hi All : I've put my order in for a new ATC Panther Shell. One of the options I want is either an AT gas can holder or a Rotopax mounted on the rear. I don't have any experience with Rotopax, but I've read about some of you experiencing leaks along the seam or the can becoming warped or bowled...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current Spike in Gas Prices

I've been without a vehicle since late February and just bought a new Tundra last week. I last filled up on 2/13 and gas was $2.95/gal. I filled up my new truck yesterday for the first time at $3.83/gal. 25 gals = $96.00 - this is going to put a crimp on my wandering!!

Nice build!! I'm thinking of buying a Panther Shell model to replace my Hawk. I like the L couch arrangement. Where did you have the seat cushions made. Also, the struts holding up the cabinet tops are cool. Where did you find them and how long are they? Thanks!

I haven't had any problems with termites and I live in a forested area where I usually find termite infestations in fallen trees or rounds that that I've bucked. My understanding of termites is they generally need earth wood contact or they can build tubes to travel up to their wood source. I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fire ring anyone got ideas

No hijack, looks like a fire ring to me. Do you have a little trailer to tow it to campsites with? :) No, I just throw it up on the roof rack and bungee it down :D I can't take credit for this idea - I'm not that imaginative. I got to use one last year when my wife and I had rented an off...
