RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Three Nights At Benton Hot Springs - November 2019

My birthday's coming up - wouldn't mind turning the clock back a few years!! I've passed Manzanar so many times, always on my way to somewhere or another. I've promised myself that Manzanar will be one of my stops next time down 395!! BTW - I've read some comments about how lucky we geezers are...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I have a screw loose.

Try inserting a 1 1/2" - 2" piece of electrical wire into the screw hole and re-insert the screw. May not work for screws that are holding up a load like your jack brackets but should be fine for trim pieces. Good luck!!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Good/Bad Vibrations

I drove the Hole in The Rock Rd as well as the entire Cottonwood Cyn Rd 11/17 and didn't have anywhere near the same experience. Yikes!! I think a couple of drawers opened partway but didn't dump anything. I had my '14 Tundra/Hawk rig at the time and I don't really remember what speeds I was...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rear seat removal

Here's my '19 Tundra DC setup. I wanted to preserve the floor space in front of the cabinet for camp chairs, backpacks, groceries, etc so I dimensioned the cabinet with that in mind. I'm still debating whether to take out the 1/3 seat but so far haven't felt the need to. Don't know if this is...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Storage ideas for FWC

I'm in the "how much stuff do you need?" group. My '05 Hawk originally had the rollover couch and had tons of storage underneath. I converted it to side dinette seating and added corner cabinets on the passenger side and still had more than enuff storage space. The drivers side cabinets do waste...

I was on Woodruff Ln 2 weeks ago on my way to Trinity Alps and it was obviously too early for the Cranes. Think I'll check out Sutter NWR. Might be less crowded than Woodbridge. Looks like you're having fun with the new lens. Keep posting pics!!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fall Colors Trinity Divide/Castle Crags Wilderness

Thanks all. I love the Trinity Alps. My first backpacking adventures took place there. The Caribou Lakes were my fav place to go (the old trail) but my body can't handle the 4,000' climbs anymore. I now take the easier routes that are just as beautiful and still less traveled.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ATC Panther purchase

I had my Panther Shell built this summer. My goal was to have as much interior space as possible. My options started with the 2 burner stove and propane cabinet. Marty prepped the cabinet for me to install a propex furnace which I did as soon as I got the camper home.. I ordered side dinette...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fall Colors Trinity Divide/Castle Crags Wilderness

Just did a quick backpack trip from the Trinity Divide through Castle Crags Wilderness 10/20-10/22. We started at Gumboot Lake TH and finished at Castle Crags SP. The elevation was around 6500' for the first 10 miles and the forest is dominated by pines, fir, and oak. We had incredible views...

I have a 2019 Tundra TRD double cab 4x4 and run 45 rear, 42 front with my ATC Panther Shell mounted. I still have my D rated OEM Michelins that have max pressure of 51lbs. and haven't felt the need to push it up to the limit. My Panther weighs in at 900 lbs dry and I doubt if I pack more than...

Sorry to hear about your recent heath episode and hope you're back to your old self or better! As with all camera's there's a learning curve. Just before the Pacific Graft and Extortion Co blackout (no offense to anyone working there) I topped off my Tundra and filled 3 jerry cans for my generator at $4.19 gal. Let's see 27 gals for the truck and 15 gallons for the generator = 42gals x $4.19 arrrrrghh!!!

I have a Gransfor Bruk axe and hatchet. My favorite camp axe is my Hults Bruk Aneby. I can't really say that one brand is better than the other. Gransfors Bruk do cost more but that doesn't necessarily mean they are superior. It may have to do with their smaller production #s, I do like that...
