RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Gaia GPS Navigation

My saved routes on Gaia go back to July 2015. I still carry topo maps for backcountry trips and use Gaia on my Iphone to track my route/progress. I download areas I plan to visit using the save offline function whenever I'm sure there'll be no internet available but have no specific...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Best wall anchors for interior paneling not near studs?

Wall anchors work great on dry wall but but you'd end up with a good size hole if you ever remove them. I'd suggest using 3M moulding tape along with the mounting screws. Maybe add a "Fragile" warning label too.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Would like any feedback on pricing for used ATC Ocelot, 2021

I think you have your Ocelot well priced. I have a '19 Panther shell without Li, solar, and all the cabinets you have ( I do have ATC's corner cabinet stove/furnace) and would like to think I could sell it for $13k - $14k. You are definitely not over-priced and should have no problem selling it...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Doing Dishes

We don't have a sink or water in our rig. We have a 20 litre Scepter Can with a ss spigot hanging on the back of our ATC and very seldom use all of it on a 5 day trip. Our main meals are pre-cooked and frozen to minimize cleanup ( stew, chili , spaghetti, breakfast burritos, etc.) Like everyone...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Jeff at ATC Retired

I don't know if this had been previously mentioned or not, but I recently had some work done at ATC and was surprised to find out that Jeff has retired. Marty is now running the whole show. No changes to the business model other than Marty's hoping to increase production once the supply chain...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Whats a good portable propane camp stove?

I agree with Machinebuilder. I really like the CampChef Everest. I had a Coleman 2 burner and the 10,000 btu output just wasn't sufficient at high altitudes or cold temps. I also use a 5lb tank that helps control the low flame better. Maybe using a heat diffuser that other folks have mentioned...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 19-21 Toyota Tundra Dbl Cab?

I have a '19 Double cab and was able to remove just the 2/3 seat out when I first purchased the truck. On my Tundra there is a bracket between the seats that each seat bolts onto independent of each other. The 1/3 seat remained fully functional but after 2 years of never using it I decided to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hawk on Tundra Help!

I sold a Hawk to someone years ago and helped him load it onto his Gen 1 Tundra. We had the same problem where it needed a half inch clearance between the bed rails. We basically pulled back on the bed from the top rails and gained the clearance we needed to slip the camper on. Good luck!!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Super Springs

I have a 2019 Tundra with stock suspension. Here's a pic of my rig with 1800 lbs of concrete blocks. The rear end drops about 2" and levels out the ride. My ATC Panther Shell weighs 900 lbs including side dinette and corner stove and I haven't felt the need to pump up my suspension. My prior 2...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Keeping Hawk cool in summer

I have the 36v Makita chainsaw and I really like it. I use it for quick pruning jobs or cutting up fallen branches around the home. It's so much easier to drop 2 batteries in and start cutting. I have 4 gas chainsaws but dump the gas out when not using them to save the carbs so this saves me...

I use two 4x6s & two 2x6s about 15" long. I stow them behind the drivers seat of my Tundra.
