RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Electrical basics and upgrading to lithium!

With my 250ah of AGM batteries I'd rarely go below 95%. A typical camping night, fridge, some heater, lights would take it down to about 85%. With the 10ga wire disconnected I'll be interested to see what it says in the morning. The other possibility is my used LiPo4 battery has much less...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone changed out the water tank for a smaller one?

I like having onboard water. Great for showers, doing the dishes etc, but I don't really need 20gallons. A ten gallon tank would be fine and that would gain me a lot of room where I need it. I could get the dc and solar chargers together and even have room for another battery. I could clean up a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Electrical basics and upgrading to lithium!

I should create a good wiring diagram of my camper. So I charge the lithium battery to near full. Sits overnight and in the morning the S.O.C is down to 85%. Seems like a lot considering only the fridge is running. Also in the morning when the grid heater is running the truck voltage doesn't...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Condensation

If I cook inside the vents are fully open. Running the heater a lot to compensate for the ventilation is just something I've gotten used to doing. I also get no mold and don't have to wipe anything down. Always interesting to see what compromises others are willing to make!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Condensation

I'd love to see just how much ventilation everyone is running. I suspect its just a crack and or not using lower and upper ventilation. Or maybe I'm just genetically disposed to exhale little moisture :)

Funny how our minds look at us. I'm 5' 7. I don't think of myself as short until I see a group photo and wonder who that short guy in the pic is :)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Windows. Are more better?

I rarely sit inside without the top popped so I don't miss the window. Plenty of light/visibility once the top is up.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wintertime...and the livin' is freezy

California has its issues but trade our weather for the humidity of the South? No thanks! Of all the people I know who've talked about leaving only one actually pulled the trigger.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Electrical basics and upgrading to lithium!

I never had an issue with solar charging my batteries to 100% with only a few hours. Even using shore power only required a couple of hours. What kind of batteries were using?

I wish I'd gotten the screen door but because I don't have one at least the sliding shade is easily accessible :)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC aluminum siding UV protection

I don't do a thing other than the occasional wash. Doesn't look brand new but its not that bad either.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Autumn, Gottem

Hoping for rain. For whatever reason they turned off the sprinklers at the dog park (not the soccer fields, skate park or landscaping of course) and its getting pretty crunchy. The forecast is not looking good though. Should be good for the marathon though.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Black Friday/Cyber Monday anyone get a deal?

I picked up a dc/dc charger from Renogy. 40a. I'm still not 100% sure I need one but I keep reading more and more about lithium charging and it sure won't hurt on those rare occasions the solar doesn't keep up. The prevailing opinion is lithiums shouldn't be charged to 100% but I've found some...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Entry door window issue

Good time to do a little upgrade. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MRRNQNP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wonder if there were some manufacturing issues on some of them? When I did the upgrade my old window was still in perfect condition twenty years later.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ..........that probably means the road really is closed.

There is closed and there is closed. Like the road closed signs on the Saline Valley road. More of a drive at your own risk kind of sign. When they toss up the concrete barriers thats a good sign they're serious about the closure.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Goal Zero’s Latest

I used to use an excessive amount of light when I was younger so I see that side of it also. Experience taught me to use just what is necessary. I can see some uses for that. Doing a large group feed? May need that light. Of course I'd also hope its shut down as soon as feasible.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Made the switch to LiFePO4

I wish Bogart would update the trimetric. Bluetooth would be nice as well as just a purely aesthetic upgrade. My elmer uses a controller made by a fellow ham that's supposed to have no rfi issues. I don't think he markets beyond the ham community. I'm also pretty sure that the reason a lot of...
