RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West delete

I'd definitely look into it if I took my camper on and off regularly. Since its only once every few years I'll pass.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West lowering tire pressure

Its pretty interesting how a few psi make a big difference. At 15 in the Jeep it feels very stable. 10 psi and it really feels mushy. I haven't figured the trucks sweet spot yet.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Summer Scene (and some aren't)

Nice and cool today. 96. We get a hot spell and then a below average spell. I can live with that. Much better than a two week heat wave.

I have hurt my back while camping. Fortunately the top was already up.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Cowboy Kent's Cuban (brick) sandwich

I'm hungry. Not a big fan of the pickles though (oddly enough I like pickles by themselves).

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West roof lifting helper shocks thingys

Someone told me to try it on my Jeep. I was skeptical but it really looked good after I was done. Need to do a second coat. All the wooden handles of my work tools get linseed oil. Hmmm, I probably should go recoat today while I'm thinking about it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another Incident in Death Valley

At least pay the tow bill. That couldn't have been cheap to get a specialized vehicle out there.

I'm betting it was a rental vehicle.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Cairns - Yes or No

Its usually pretty easy to tell which are marking a trail and which are someone's "art" project. I must be going to the wrong areas. I don't run into them often.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rooftop AC

I'd find something about that weight to test if its really feasible first. I could lift my roof with my kayak up there but it wasn't fun and I won't do it again. That the install kit comes with 4ga wire kind of concerns me.

I've never found one in my yard but I don't have to go far.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I need more power Scotty!

I haven't carried my portable solar panel for years now. Probably will when I start going taking longer trips.

I keep mine semi stocked so I never turn it off.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Upgraded the rear window

Apparently this is one place where the industry has actually standardized on one size. Yay! I suspect the people who rated it low had installation difficulties. The instructions could be improved but really its one of those things most people can install without reading the instructions.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire Width - Which is Better?

Nothing new there. Narrow tires are easier on suspension components. Wide tires have a place in certain mud and snow conditions where flotation is important but most of us are better off with a narrower tire. It would be interesting if he did the same tests but with a heavier vehicle.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tick Caused Allergy

I don' t think anyone likes ticks. Even the scientists who study them are creeped out. Mostly I try and stay out of the grassy/brushy areas during tick season. The dog takes tick medicine but that just means they crawl off him and onto me /shudder

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Upgraded the rear window

Or is it the front? Depends on your pov I guess. I've been thinking about this upgrade for a while now and decided to pull the trigger. My curtains were dirty and falling apart and the new one has a tinted window. Even easier to do than I thought. If you can use a screwdriver you can do this...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Aging Process

I still have a lump on my leg from earlier this summer. Late night bathroom visit and on the way back there was just enough light I could see the table. I didn't see the bench though :(

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Summer Scene (and some aren't)

I need to pay more attention to the forecast before volunteering. I'm surprised only two people had heat issues at the Great American Triathlon. At least I had shade and a fan!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West lowering tire pressure

25-35 in my truck. I'll take the Jeep down to six but two men and a boy could lift it up if I lost a bead. Maybe even lower if I'm really stuck. Back in the olden days when I had a different truck and I was towing the Jeep I wound up on a dirt road, It was raining hard and on an uphill section...

I volunteered to work the Triathlon (formerly Eppies Great Race) Saturday. I might have reconsidered if I'd known it was going to be well over 100.
