Just found this comment...sorry to be almost a year late...in case it is of any interest, we are using B&W Trailer Hitches 3200 Patriot Fifth Wheel Hitch. No slider...we are just careful and mounted the hitch a tad behind the truck axle..see the other album on our hitch install. Again, sorry...- FMLNM

Photos of the installation and positioning of the B&W Patriot 16K 5th wheel hitch in our 2011 Frontier Crew Cab SHORT bed (5'). We chose this hitch because it allows you to put the hitch 'head' in one of 3 positions, moving 2" forward or backward from the center position. Note this cannot be done- FMLNM
