the UV flashlight is amazing for scorpions. i slept on a cot for 19 days in the grand canyon, and felt pretty comfortable. would not have wanted to sleep on ground. i learned on that trip, to always shake your shoes/boots out, before putting on.

Yes, had some fun on the drive home. spent 2 nights at summer lakes hot springs, and we were able to use one of 3 pools, each morning. hot spring in snow was great. all snow gone in afternoon. time to relax, and plan for future. and saw 2 grandkids in hood river on way home. so , all good

i think everyone knows what the camper looks like, but this is first days in driveway. the awning is on passenger side. i got 16.5 mpg coming back from sacramento, over to reno, and north on 395, and on to pdx.

i had mule expedition, in pdx, mount on passenger side. and used their custom mtg brkts which attach to jack mts and extend up to roof area.

a few years ago we were just north of san simeon, when the elephant seals were around. there is a viewing area and parking. the animals were incredible.

have you thought about stowing the table in the pickup box, between camper and the front of the pickup box? i read a post somewhere, where the fellow made a narrow box that fit in that spot, and he dropped in various things, with a hinged top with lock.

well, good luck with the john day exploration. i have always thought the run at the 30 mile boat ramp, errr, gravel ramp seemed like good steelhead water. but its a ways down in there, and dont know the road condition right now that said, i have heard good things about the water around...
