i have a swing away bike rack for when we take bikes camping. and it would not work with tailgate. i have a full size gmc, and was surprised at how much the tail gate weighed. i had atc put those fold up steps on the back side of camper. they get used to hang things from around the back. even...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Part IV of our Alaska Adventure Begins

i visited mccarthy years ago, when 3 of us went fishing on the gulkana, and a few other places. my bud said we had to go to mcarthy, and i complained on the drive about how long it was going to take, etc. etc. boy, was i wrong. the place was amazing, and the views of the glaciers were...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Northeast Oregon - the good , bad, and good again

the upper section, above the fish weir, is all public, and i would think that one could find some good fishing spots. i definitely thought there was some nice water along the imnaha trail.. the lower river has plenty of water for a small stream, as it gets beefed up by the addition of sheep...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Northeast Oregon - the good , bad, and good again

The actual 'road' is really not too bad. i saw a few small suv's, like subaru's, and even a small 2 wd car. that said, i liked using 4wd on the descent to keep off the brakes. definitely no place for a trailer. the spooky part is no guard rails, and a very steep drop off in some places...

The Good: About a month ago, we were driving the wallowa mtn loop road from the east to northwest. crossed over the upper imnaha river, and decided i needed to come back and check the upper river, and area when i had the chance. last week i returned to the upper imnaha, and drove all the way...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Common ATC Customizations

i have a recent atc shell. had them put in the propane door on the driver side, which i think is their std spot. if i did it again, i would have them put the propane door on the rear. this frees up space for shelves , cabinets, and utilizes the extra room behind the wheel wheels.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Thinking of selling your FWC ? - Now might be the time to sell

who knows ? i bought first ATC in Mar/21. the only thing i wonder/regret, is that i should have put most of the purchase price on a vehicle loan. vehicle and home loan rates are incredibly low. i just bought a 2019 midsize suv, and car loan was 2.3%. sheesh.
