    When I am not in the perfect flat space I run into the same issue my solution has been to stand on the tail gate grab the boat rack and at the slowest/ slightly opened jack it is easy to guide not taking a lot of strength and watch the jacks as they lower.

    It takes me a month to fill 3.5 gallon, I generally don't wait that long and have no noticable odor issues.

    It was an awkward landing but could have gone so much worst, thanks to the input from packrat/chuck we got her done with minimal issues and no broken glass, and a big thanks to Jay for Lunch. Just tells me how well these (even mistreated campers ) hold together.

    Don't know if older campers are hardier but i have left my 1976 camper on for ever and see no change . Of coerce I paid a lot less than you (probably) and will move on when needed.

    Not sure how much room you have real estate gets very tight in slide in campers I prefer having 2 x 6 volt true deep cycle golf cart batteries and am willing to make space available, as I travel alone not a big deal.

    I yam had previous issues in Nevada found a little nest under the Turbo, but then there were rattle snakes in the area . How have you been? My very last day on the Job today, entering a different era of my life 71 in March leaving for Arizona on 1/2/19.

    I would think done right it is safe. As propane has been known to increase moisture as a by product burning wood does dry the opposite, beneficial to wood bases construction. Just be 100% careful

    Don't want to kill em just let nature take it's course, I have heard ammonia on a rag will keep them out of the engine compartment also moth balls peppermint any unpleasant to the smell of our little buddies

    Using ladder chains I have had for 25 years when they cost 14.95 (on sale) 3/4 ton 95 Dodge Ram. I keep them in the original canvas bag with gloves.

    IMHO ditch the heater and get the wave 3. The fan is a power hog I had a six-pac it was an older model and an 8 footer. Great camper.

    Been using the 2 bucket peat moss system for 5 years I go almost a month without dumping and with the Gamma lid I get no odor. Even when I was in my trusty 21 foot Holiday Rambler with a toilet I never used it just the buckets, i don't like using dump stations. Looking at my last week at work...

    Having successfully downsized from a non pop up older Six-Pac I still have one issue. I use 2 x 3 gallon buckets ( with gamma lids and plastic bags) one for peat moss and the other for the actual toilet. My setup worked well in the old unit but is too large for the 76 Alaskan CO .
