RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Big Pine Creek - October 2019

Another great adventure guys, enjoyed your trip---love those aspens !!! We lost power over here too ( and we were not supposed to either)---as sort of an indirect reason, all the shut offs in Ca caused our PG&E line up the Feather River Canyon to blow somewhere that Sunday night and we...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Responsibility Code

We spend allot time on this site discussing how to survive out there in the boonies (or anywhere for that matter): what to do and not do, what is the best gear, truck tires, etc, all the things to have a good time and not kill yourself or someone else. Yet, there is always that unknown out...

My old 99 F-150 4x4 has been hauling around a 05 Granby full time since 05 B) After years of blown shocks and trying out different heavy duty reinforced springs, my local ford dealer sent me to a local blacksmith shop that specialized in up grading 1/2 ton into 3/4 ton pu's; they installed a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Geezer Pass proposed changes?

So what's new guys? This is how things works these days, management by the one percent, and I fear it will only get worse. RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AAA vs Good Sam vs ?

I've has 3 AAA for years and have used it several times with no problems and good results; however everything was on paved roads. The thing about not being able to use on dirt/gravel roads has always been a bummer, but I guess that's why we always need to carry all that tire repair gear and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Southeast Oregon in October

Let me add to the recommendation(s) of the Steens area-make sure to keep abreast of weather conditions. The Sheldon NWR is just south of there and Virgin Spring CG is usually a good stop for water and a soak in the hot springs. Smoke

Yep-got my furnace on too Mark-had to run around shutting all the windows on top of that. From high 80's one day to 30/40's at night with T-storms and lots of wind. We had snow in the high country and ICE on my street the other day. Another storm and cold front due in on Thursday , then getting...

Lot's of smoke here in the Honey Lake Valley; they held meetings today in Janesville on fire progress. I had planned to be camping right now but fires everywhere and with especially the Walker fire down the road (that along with wind, smoke, lightning and T-storms) have kept me close to home...

I say the same thing too Mark, "get one or a swamp cooler. but never do."
