Actually you can get enough lumens to read by with a tap on light; and you can place it at either end of the board where you heads are when sleeping or sitting below....batteries seem to last forever...plus they are cheap and easy to install...

yes, I have been monitoring the DC/DC on Bluetooth and the voltage on the BB while on Battery Tender...so far no input showing or voltage increase in BB..

I agree, not withstanding the Victron 712 SOC....the voltage also reflects the SOC....I do have a monitor but as has been pointed out the exact SOC is very difficult to pin down; and, the SOC / voltage range is a very tight one....not many volts to dramatically change the SOC...so we guess and...

The Zoo part I can concur with...just got back from a trip to Wyoming Wind River Range and in the TH parking lot [9,300 absl] there were 60+ vehicles from 23 different states....Pinedale was also overrun with traffic.. Phil

My Bluetooth and complete Victron / Battleborn Li battery set-up was installed in June and I have used the Hawk on two trips since then....but observed, recorded and dinked with DC/DC, solar and 110v charging systems ...first off the Li set-up is outstanding...the DC/DC charger is a game changer...

Thanks Jon...forgot about the Bluetooth....but is very simple to open the breaker mounted under the hood on the firewall...appreciated the info....no really easy way to disconnect the BB; so breaker is the point of disconnect.. Phil

A fuse! Damn I forgot about that when I drained the system while skiing this last winter.....dummy just used duct tape to keep toggle on 'off'.

Winter storage or winter use.... If you heat the water in the heater and have room in the 20 gal storage tank...in the winter you can dump/drain the hot water into the storage tank overnight if expecting really low temps and this gives you a larger heated thermal mass outside of the space...

A thought....uneducated one...the exterior heater vent on my furnace in the Hawk is pretty much open to anything out and about of the camper....I had a wasp nest inside such a vent on our home and the burner could not be cleared before ignition so it would not ignite..I put a mesh screen cone...
