I finally got this up today. If it is effective I'll do a more permanent installation. (the stickers on the windows are not) https://www.birdsavers.com/using-paracord/

I don't complain "to" men. The last one who whacked me for saying something he did not like cured me of that dangerous habit. I am much safer and healthier now. (and apologies if that was TMI)

The conversation with you helped me decide to keep it real simple. It must have something to do with the size of the dogs. :)

Ha! "name your horse for crying out loud" and I am and will remain eternally grateful that my sister/housemate can hook up the dvd player men - can't live with them, don't have to :P

Our fishing opener was postponed until at least June 1 (not without a great deal of - uhhhmmm - "problems" - sometimes I am ashamed of the human race) but the river is high and dirty right now anyway. But I'll get back to you after I get to fish.

Hmmm - that is a thought. I've also considered a large diameter PVC or ABS pipe mounted on the roof rack - but I don't have a roof rack (yet)

This would be my "daily driver" - if I drove daily and having the soul of a backpacker less is better. But in any case I needed to keep it light in weight and with enough space for trash cans and Home Depot trips. I did have the roof rack tracks installed and already have some Yakima bars but...

another way to spend my time at home painting Cymbidium Orchids in the greenhouse it's warm and out of the wind, also full of green stuff to munch on like lettuce and chard and chives I primarily paint landscapes but when I first delved into watercolor painting about 15 years ago I began with...

I just bought one. I can't help but remember my long suffering dad taking 4 kids fishing with bamboo rods and a line tied to the end of it. I suppose this will be an improvement. I bought it primarily for what I call "drive in fishing" - where I might fish one spot and then get back...

Apples (and cherries just getting started) (and yellow flowered Bitterbrush - deer food) Golden Delicious - looks like it will finally produce after 10 years  (it has had a hard life - not a good location) Arkansas Black - an heirloom apple my late husband chose because he liked the...

Lived in an apartment on a creek. Came back from the laundry room and found a very large opossum at my door. It bared it's little pointy teeth and hissed at me.

The '96 T-100 crossed 200K sometime late in 2019. I bought the truck in 2004 with 100k. I've been told that I must not drive that much. That would be me. Yes. the new truck was expensive. I inherited some money and I already own a home.

I've noticed the same about the burning. But I have not worn shorts yet. Cutting and hauling brush (I don't have a suitable location to burn on my property) does not lend itself to shorts and/or short sleeved shirts.

I began this crocheted shawl in late February, finished it a couple of days ago. And I guess I finally figured out how to put a photo in a post so now I need to go pop up the camper and share my build-out.

Both - but they have blessedly moved away. It is a two handed broadsword. The parry kept the dog at a sword's length as long as I did not turn my back on her.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Curious, Stronger bottle jack needed?

I used the standard jack in my Toyota T-100 with a FWC Shell well loaded up for a week in the desert and a rear flat. The only problem was the soggy subsurface of the soil. Fortunately I found a piece of a 2"X6" nearby so I was eventually able to jack up the truck rather than drive the jack into...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Acoustic Thread - What are you listening to?

For anyone who does Facebook there are several musicians doing live shows from their living rooms. Szlachetka (every Sunday, 7pm Central) and also Caitlin Canty and others. I had deleted my FB account but rejoined just to see these shows. Caitlin Canty was also a part of a show including...

I felt only the first jolt (and that is exactly what it was - one jolt and no shaking at least here 60+ miles from the epicenter) but it has been fascinating to see epicenters of aftershocks? occurring throughout the region. I am trying to remember but I believe there was a swarm in the Mammoth...

People wonder why I have a sword in the corner of the mudroom. My late husband was a competitive sword fighter and I have used it to fend off the next door psycho's dog.

I think I dealt with one of the census cons several months ago. I think this guy was trying to drum up some work. Going door to door. During a pandemic. In a community that is full of older, retired people. I don't know if I was shaking due to fear or fury. Maybe both.

I am considering going full on Downton Abbey and polishing the silver. Haven't done it since I was shut in for a month due to wildfire smoke. When it warms up I have my veggie garden. And I am going to build a water feature. And anything else to put off the interior painting. The Les Miserable...
