    Lagun Cockpit Table

Here are some pics: Lagun mount after having a machinist shorten both horizontal and vertical pieces... Mounting plate after it was shortened approximately 1 inch (so washers and nuts would clear horizontal shelf)... 17" laptop and dinner for two..... Mount installed.....note room left...

    Lagun Cockpit Table

Has anyone with a FWC dinette tried using the method Marty at ATC uses? The tube and attachment ring are mounted in the "shelf"so that the leg room is not compromised. The fold down table does sound like a good idea. What do you do when you convert the table to the bed, with the fold down> Frank...

    Lagun Cockpit Table

Does anyone have a picture of one of these tables completed and installed? I am thinking about one in my dinette. I have one in my dinette and it is great! The best mod I've done so far besides the dinette. It allows you to get rid of the big disk and pole that is always in the way. There...

Refrigerator Lighting Problem - On the Road

My "sparker" died shortly after I took possession of my Hawk. I simply did the relighter mod.....so now to light my fridge....I turn the relighter on and go inside and hold down the red button and she lights right up.

    refrig exhaust

i had the same issue once. there is a thread here about cleaning the burner. look for it. you must have a lazy flame and youre getting partial combustion. Here is the link HERR42 mentioned:http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3677/page__pid__39646__st__0&#entry39646

Refrigerator Lighting Problem - On the Road

I think it's a good chance it is corrosion on the burner like others have suggested. Here is a link I started detailing the simple fix:http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3677/page__pid__39646__st__0&#entry39646

Replacing 3-way fridge with compressor fridge

Thanks for the update. This is the route I will go when my 3-way dies.

    Upgrading from 3-way fridge..

I would leave the load terminals disconnecvted. Get a "Whatt-meter" or ammeter shunt and voltmeter to monitor your main load current. This is great advise. The maximum for your controllers "load" terminals is a mere 15 amps.

    Upgrading from 3-way fridge..

I always over think things I am not sure about...:-) In any case, I am going to talk to Marty to be sure what the main feed leads are going to the fuse box because I want to be able to see the load being placed on the system, ie, fridge, heater, etc. I can't currently do that with the existing...

    towing

for an anchor point, my good friend actually uses a heavy boat anchor. He swears by it. Anyone try one of those? In an emergency situation....you could hook your cable to your spare tire and burry it for an anchor.

    towing

My f250 w the custom front bumper is close to 10k lbs empty I really have a hard time relying on a manual come along to pull these heavy rigs out of trouble. Maybe in some light duty situations they might be of some value. If you are stuck "hard".....and weight in excess of 10,000...

    Upgrading from 3-way fridge..

Ok, this makes sense, there is nothing on terminal 5&6, I will call Marty at ATC tomorrow to confirm all this since I am not the best at wiring... There doesn't need to be anything on terminals 5 and 6 ("Load"). The camper is probably wired so the battery feeds the main control panel and...

    Upgrading from 3-way fridge..

Panel installed, the wiring took all of 20 minutes. The fabrication and installation of the sliding panel mount took an entire day, had to take the camper off and on. I will post pics later today, it works and looks great in terms of placement. Now, I do have a couple questions regarding the...

    USB

Thank-you, I was looking for something like that for MP3 player. I am not too swift when it comes to electronics but how would you charge laptops/cellphones/camera batteries? Other than using an inverter? Or is it a converter? If you are not in a campground with AC. Sorry, but it will sink in...

    USB

I was looking to do an install something like what leadsled did, putting a usb port in the status panel. Wasn't having much luck googling when I finally ran across this http://cgi.ebay.com/...emZ230610045336 With any luck that'll even fill the hole I drilled and never used for another project...

    Lagun Cockpit Table

I'll be watching this thread to see what happens. I am a staunch believer in having as many things as possible serve more than one purpose. So I am thinking of replacing the wood table top with an aluminum one so I can replace the ratty wood on the roof rack that I stand on to photograph from...

    Upgrading from 3-way fridge..

Ahh, we have a winner, I like it, thanks! As for paper towels and such, I have put small D-rings on the ceiling that I secure all kinds of nifty light weight stuff off of including a shower curtain with a basin attached for Winter bathing. I usually put the bungees for the top up there not...

    Upgrading from 3-way fridge..

His question kicked up a vague memory of mine but I can't find anything to back it up off hand. I though I recalled somewhere doing it like the picture as opposed to both off one battery might have a benefit of ensuring the charge drives through all the cells where as having them both on one...

    Upgrading from 3-way fridge..

How important is it to have the wires to the ground and 12v coming from different batteries? In the drawing the are coming from opposing batteries but it appears there are coming from just one battery in the photo. You can use the 12v positive from either positive post....and you can use the...

My mother in law sews and she is flying in today to visit for over a week, her first time to Aspen, we are going to make some light duty panels that have mesh to hold kitchen and other small items, they will velcro onto the spaces between the windows even with the Arctic Pak on when popped up...

I think I am just going to fully go for it and make this rig "Sick-Tastic", so how do I wire in parallel? Just ordered the Morning Star MPPT 15 and RM-1, I'm going to need a windfall after this is done, LOL! You will love that set up. That's exactly what I have in my Hawk.
