My camper has a solar panel. The camper is stored in the garage. Is the ambient light, from when the garage door is open occasionally, enough to provide a charge to the camper batteries? Probably not. Why not just plug it in? End of problem.

I started with a 1/2 ton truck and graduated to a 3/4 ton. You will be much happier with a larger truck that was designed to carry (and stop) the load.

I don't own a Granby...but instead own a Hawk. The dinette was a great upgrade that my girlfriend and I just love. It works great for us. I originally had the couch and crappy table....but later had FWC do the dinette conversion. Much nicer now.

If you have gasoline mounted on the exterior of your vehicle and are involved in a collision your vehicle may be turned into a fireball. That picture with all of that gasoline directly over the truck roof is crazy. No way I'd do it.

How big is the Zodi pump canister without the stand and burner? Do you use the provided burner or can you heat it on your camper stove? Easy to heat on the stove.

X2 what rotti said. For long trips....you'd be much happier with a 3/4 ton truck....which ever brand you prefer. I often take trips from 1 month to 6 weeks and the extra capacity if very nice.
