RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West On a 5 week trip and the 3-way fridge quit working!

Learn something everyday! I'll put it in the file to do when it happens again-as it will. And your right about it being a two man job and my dog couldn't hold the button long enough for me to light it-so a was a new sparker or pay my border collie more! With the relighter mod you never have...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane System for Grandby Shell

I wouldn't want an internal propane tank in my camper. Everytime you change the tank some propane is released...and I hate that smell. Several folks on this site have had problems with leaky propane systems. Why take the chance? I like the factory external location.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West On a 5 week trip and the 3-way fridge quit working!

Needed more than field cleaning, got a new igniter and things work again! My igniter went out about 1 week after I got the camper. This made it a two man operation to light my refrigerator. Well....I have had absolutely horrible luck with those manual sparker systems. Every one I've ever...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West On a 5 week trip and the 3-way fridge quit working!

Old thread, I know, but leadsled, which fridge are you talking about? My Dometic 3-way (1991 era Grandby, don't have the model number on hand) has the symptoms described here where it'll get cold, but three days later, it warms up. I've done a couple trips like this so far and need to get it...

Where did you get that re lighter? Frank Relighter thread by pvstoy: http://www.wanderthe...?showtopic=1111 Note: the Atwood relighter usually ranges from $80 - $150 on ebay. If you are patient you can find them much cheaper on ebay. I just picked one up for $39 with free shipping. I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometics 3 cu ft 3 way

I find that using the propane while driving the pilot goes out.Any comments? Frank Do the relighter mod and you won't have to worry about it. The mod also makes it a breeze to start up the fridge.....just turn on the relighter and go inside and hold the red button down until it...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometics 3 cu ft 3 way

My fridge is NEVER level during it's entire storage life since it is on my truck and my truck is in the driveway (7 degree angle). Yet it fires up and runs like a champ when the truck is level. I have a hard time believing that storing it off level will damage it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometics 3 cu ft 3 way

I like my 3-way generally. It works fine as long as you keep the burner slots clean. Like Stan said, running in on 12 volt will run down your battery. Cleaning the burners should be part of your annual maintenance. When and if mine ever dies....I'll replace it with one of the newer DC...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Ever use an inner tube between camper overhang and truck roof?

This sounds like a bad idea to me. The inner tube will grind road grit right into your paint and ruin your trucks roof.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Transmission Cooler

For folks wishing to monitor more parameters than the factory guages....there are monitoring devices that plug into your computer port. I have the EDGE Insight CTS on my truck. They even have mounting pods for specific truck applications and look like a factory install. You can set them up...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Sure Power 1314 Recall - FYI

I have been crawling around trying to find my battery separator. So far no luck. The FWC manual helpfully suggests that the battery separator is "usually located in the cabinets". It might be fun (and possibly useful) for those of you who have found separators to share in what unlikely spot you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Cockpit Table

Leadsled, if mounted to the front wall of the camper instead of to the shorter step area, would the horizontal arm rotate freely, or would it require a spacer behind the wall mount plate to give the arm enough room to swivel? For a flush mount like that it looks like you'd need about 1" of spacer.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Ultimate Solar Thread

My only thoughts are that $200 is kind of pricey for only 68 watts. I bought a 120 watt panel for $222.

specjoe, Are you saying that the "house" batteries for your camper are located under the hood? Or are you using the batteries under the hood for starting and running your camper needs?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Cockpit Table

Here's one more issue to think about. I mounted my Lagun mount into the side of the step area. It is 3/4" material and structurally rigid. This resulted in a "rock solid" table for my dinette. For folks that have the couch arrangement....mounting the Lagun mount into the 1/2" material of the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Cockpit Table

Refresh my memory: Was the "group buy" to get a better base-price or was it lower shipping cost? I think it was 8 people needed for a 10% discount. Not all that much savings but that should more than cover shipping.

Thanks, you are correct. For some reason, I thought it was higher. . . Considering how well it has worked out for you, I am reconsidering the relative 'pain' of that price :P I know what you mean. I bought my Hawk new and it has most of the options....out the door it was over $20,000. I...

Um . . . Just by chance, I went back to the site where they sell the (real) Lagun table support and the price is now $275 ! (http://svhotwire.com/info/?p=772) Could someone please double check ? Maybe my bookmark isn't working right ? Thanks. I did a search and I think you have the correct...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Cockpit Table

My interest in the subject goes back to when I remodeled our Eagle couch into a dinette and solved the table problem by mounting the base on the side step, cut the pole down, and made the table a two sided drop leaf. . DLN, That post is what got me interested in the Dinette in the first...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Cockpit Table

Bummer about needing to cut down the size. I am thinking I will have my table swing from one side of the camper into the middle, so it might work uncut for me. But I might be needing to make friends with a machinist. I was lucky and got one of the last Lagun mounts before the huge price...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Cockpit Table

Looks great! Too bad you had to modify it though. If FWC had any sense regarding these tables (we have been telling them for years their tables are junk), they would have already had a similar table made at the proper dimensions. Thanks DirtyDog. I agree 100%. My camper originally had the...

Another view of mounting plate.... Gotta love WTW.... Note....the Lagun table mount was already a sturdy design...but after shortening both pieces...the mount is rock solid.

More... Table installed..... Nothing to block leg room..... The mounting plate is small and almost flush...so it doesn't get in the way when you fold down the seat back for the bed.....
