RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West On the "GO" overnighting

Your welcome...don't get me wrong. Many were an interesting grassy spot behind the barn etc......and a few were very nice remote gravel spots near a museum in the woods that we wanted to visit. The HH website and search engine was a bit confusing to me at first but relative straightforward...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West On the "GO" overnighting

Howdy We joined Harvest Hosts last year primarily to help with just such "in transit stays" for our West East West trip last summer. In sum we were glad we did....in many urban areas it is critical to us to have a "target" for the next nights stop. Many Harvest Hosts locations are at museums...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West RIP non synthetic motor oil

Does anyone here understand the consequence of shifting from non synthetic to fully synthetic motor oil for my "old" 2005 Ram 5.7 Hemi ? We just completed a round trip to the east coast and I was dismayed to find I could not buy non synthetic anymore along most of the route. Fearing the switch...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Simple Electrical question....I am confused.

12V polarity seems to be inverted at the cigarette lighter type fixtures in my 2019 Grandby shell. Spent the afternoon trying to sort out an electrical 2 pin plug for my Dometic before finally realizing this. I guess someone who works on RV's all the time would know this kind of stuff. David

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Simple Electrical question....I am confused.

Thanks Jon I noticed that in my truck connector lead also. It is part of what got me concerned. So, will the battery separator separate house load from the truck battery whenever house battery gets down to some preset voltage ? Have you been camping much with the new rig ? David

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Simple Electrical question....I am confused.

Thanks If I wire a separate appliance, 12V Refer in this case, DIRECTLY off house battery is that a problem (or worse) for camper battery separator ? Somewhere I have read that Black wire in RV is not always negative. Thanks for any insight . David Graves

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West storing gas under camper?

First of all remember what you are doing structurally..... A Hawk , 49 " wide will need a board on edge at either side but also more than one stringer in the mid floor area. And you need to add some sort of ceiling to the stringers to keep them rigid... The spaces between the long members...
