Hi Mark And also welcome to WTW....your camper looks very nice and should give you good service. I would mention that it looks to be an early eighties model. I think it is important for you get to know the FWC of that period in order to enjoy it. They did employ the Flex frame...

You have a lot to loose by using stainless....galvanic corrosion between dis similar metals in the presence of an electrolyte....H2O....the aluminum looses this battle. I really think your best bet is Galvanized steel screws with a baked on white finish of the same size as was first used at...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Driveway too steep to unload?

Howdy You are wise to be thinking about this. When loaded on a trailer the FWC camper is awkward. Maybe because of the overhang...not sure. I would make also sure to keep the camper top down and locked if you are moving the camper while mounted on a trailer. and of course dont hit the overhang...

Hi Jon We have our current set rotated at a Costco in Missouri last fall. For our Dodge 2500 2 WD truck with Grandby shell, the tires were rotated rears crossed to front and fronts straight back . We developed an out of balance thumping which worsened mile by mile for the trip home to Oregon...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truck camper and tire rotation

This is a great discussion. Tires are important AND expensive. Keeping up with tire pressures is easy. The crux of different exchange patterns ( apart from suspension wear issues etc. ) may be whether or not your tires themselves can change direction of rotation ....We have almost always run...
