RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West On-Board Air

Heck with the tires and air-bags, this thing filled my floaty, butt sling in 9 seconds! Since our trips seem to always lead us to some body of water, we are now pack'n a pair of PDD's (personal drinking devices :)

Glad you're good. Not glad about Utah, I'm heading there in two weeks. Hope it clears out by then.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Airbags vs new leaf springs?

The information and advice from JHanson and other members is appreciated and encouraged. It has made it possible for me to use my existing and payed for 1500 Chevy and FWC combination with comfort and safety. Without the recommended upgrades suggested from this site, my truck would be unsafe...

Finally got around to installing my ARB compressor. It fit nicely in my extra battery tray under the hood. Mounted the switch under the hood as well for simplicity. The hose is long enough to reach all five tires and also my air-bags. Cant wait to try it out in the sand next week :)

Great idea. I will make sure to call before we pull away, to get the most up to date conditions.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Smoke

Thanks ski, I have been monitoring that same map. Today looks even worse. I'm looking for anyone in the destination area that may have some first hand knowledge of the air quality. We have never been to Yellowstone NP and likely will only go one time. We just want to make sure we can see her in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Smoke

Anyone's travel plans getting altered due to smoke from Canada wildfires? We plan to head up to the Tetons and concerned that we may have to postpone the trip. We leave in two weeks and will head east to Utah then up north from there. Any insight to conditions, current or predicted is...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Doing Dishes

Interesting, seems to be a common thread with the heating water on the stove, theory. Is this because the water is hotter (cuts grease quicker/better)? Or the waste of water from the "waiting for it to get hot" thing? My guess is both.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Doing Dishes

Thanks guys, that is right along the lines I'm thinking. We already wipe them clean first, now I just need to convince the admiral that "camping clean" is good enough. As our Hawk is relatively new to us, she just loves the hot, running water that magically appears! As we continue to enjoy...

We got to reap the benefits of the road closures from this years storms. The secondary, dirt access roads led us to some uncrowded goodness up in the hills. The national forest is making quite a comeback since the fires.

Just returning from a great 3 day trip, and boy did we go through our water. I calculated that around 13 gallons of it ran through the sink. It was a good eye opener for my wife who runs it hard when she is doing the dishes. My thought moving forward is to put an inch or two of HOT water in the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Airbags vs new leaf springs?

I run my stock spring pack but added the following: SuperSprings (helper spring) Firestone bags, Daystar cradles, Bilstein shocks . All easy for DIY installation and didn't break the bank. SuperSprings handle the load no problem and the bags level it out. Also added Helwig swaybar. Solid set up...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Antigravity Batteries

My existing LA battery has 970 cranking amps while the Antigravity boasts 1500. They also claim that it is a plug and play replacement for factory LA batteries. The BMS prevents the battery from fully discharging, leaving enough juice for emergency start up. Antigravity calls it a wireless...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Antigravity Batteries

Antigravity offers a lithium starting battery as a direct replacement for the truck. Any experience or input about the beast? This stems from my recent installation of an ARB compressor under the hood. I installed it in the pre-existing, extra battery tray. Every time I add weight to the rig I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Single Sheet Roof "Tin Canning"...Why?

Just curious, do you have any tracks on the roof for racks? Might help and better than sand bags? I only have had O.C. one time and that was driving through the desert. We were going straight into strongest wind I have ever experienced. It sounded like the solar panel ripped off and was...
